Android supported (app required). The BR-355N GPS Receiver can be utilized in a variety of applications which require GPS signals to be received and decoded in your Windows laptop or tablet PC, and for Mac users, their Mac Books or Mac Book Pro's. Compatible with most all NMEA compliant third-party software, the BR-355-S4 is suitable for use in vehicle, marine and aviation navigation, as well as commercial and municipality applications such as fire trucks, police cars, buses, GIS data collection and much more! The BR-355N’s slim profile housing has a IPX7 water resistant rating, and incorporates an active patch antenna for the highest level of GPS accuracy. The BR-355N requires either the USB cable set (BR-305-USB), or Serial RS232/PS2 cable sets to function (sold separately) . Placement of the GPS receiver anywhere within the vehicle will usually get sufficient GPS signal reception, but in those rare occurrences when towering high-rises offer challenging satellite reception, simply place the BR-355N on the vehicle’s roof (attaches with its built-in magnet) for improved reception. Since power is transferred through your PC's USB port or the keyboard port, depending on which of OUR cable set is connected. Data is also transmitted to the USB port or the RS232 port depending on which cable set of OURS is used.

Used it with my Uniden Marine VHF Radio. The serial plug did not work with my Uniden. It did come with instructions that detail what each wire in the serial plug was for. So it was not hard to splice and use the wires I needed for my Uniden Marine Radio. It has a magnet in the base and comes with a suction cup.It was affordable considering Uniden’s GPS sensor were twice the cost and not available because they’re discontinued. It looks identical to the discontinued UNIDEN Marine Radio

Don't know why I waited so long to get a GPS receiver for my uniden SDS 100 scanner. It's plug and Play, just plug it in, and it automatically fetches nearby police and fire frequencies. Works perfectly.

Used with the Uniden cable (you can make your own if you prefer) with my Uniden SDS-100. Works perfectly. This works!! Don't be concerned that it's not the "S4" version!

Like the title says, I use this to make a GPS cable for my Uniden scanner SDS 100. Works great even in the very high heat on the dashboard of my car in the sun. Not my first global south, GPS device they are very reliable.
