I have a 2001 Chevy express 2500 passenger van. This is a direct replacement for the window latch. As I was replacing this part the hooked extension that connected to the door hardware it snapped in the exact same place the original did. This is a very fragile part. Other than that it is a direct replacement and a decent price. Buy two just in case.

Ok. this is not to review this latch but to offer a possible fix. The claw end of mine broke so it would no longer hold on to pin leaving the window flapping in the wind. Not wanting to spend the money I drilled a 7/64 hole near the claw. Put the claw end back on pin and wire tied with a small 3" long tie and snipped end off. Rotated tie around pin till I could close window. Done. If it breaks again, I have more wire ties. Good luck.

Plastic is hard and has to be heated. I used a heat gun to heat it up. Be very careful because you can melt it. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to hold it with while heating it

As I was pushing this onto the stud that it swivels around the clip broke. I kept it warm until I was going to install it so it wasn't because of the cold. I got a used one from a junk yard and didn't have an issue taking it off the original vehicle or installing it on my vehicle. I wasted my money on this purchase.

Even though Amazon said this was the one, it wasn't. But, it appeared to be good quality. This is not the turn in style like the late model 99's, but a pin through type.
