The 4x4, 7 gauge design is 100% rock solid. If you're a shooter fear not you'll have minimal/no sway while you reload for the next chuck. I whipped the ball off the backboard as hard as I could, absolutely nothing. I had some 300 pound big boys going hard at this hoop with the breakaway rim and it barely moved. I personally jumped off a ladder and rocked it, only a few seconds to return to normal. This hoop is the engineered so well and with very few parts for assembly. I can't imagine the nightmare a mega slam or Goalrilla would have been to put together. I was able to put this into a 16'' x 48'' sonotube with just 11 bags of concrete. I've never poured concrete in my life. It wasn't hard. The Anchor is easy to level. The rim is easy to level. The hoop is dead simple to assemble.There is a weep hole at the base bottom to remove any rainwater that gets into the top hole for the lift mechanism.The top of the post is welded, no plastic cap.The arms are single pieces.The hardware is zinc coated.Customer service is in America, they can tell you the weight of individual parts in seconds. The woman that directs your call is the same woman every time.The only thing I would ask for is a redesign with a glass cutout from the backboard like competitors in the price range.There is simply not a better hoop for the money.I comparison shopped everything. Most hoops are just Chinese mass produced hoops with design differences based on the same platforms. This goalsetter is 100% made in the USA.

Seems like a decent product but when spending this kind of money, I believe expectations can be higher. As you can see in the photo, the Goalsetter sticker is on correct on one side but upside down on the other. Has me questioning the overall quality and attending to detail in the manufacturing processes. I will call their customer service to see how they respond but if not favorably and willing to stand by their product, this review will not change. Hopefully more to follow with some good news....
