Used this light for a photo gig, it was handy for fill light or adding/reducing color temp.It is more suited for close up shots or product shotsMore ideal for video shots since the light is not bright compared to a single flash for photographyIt has different fx effects which seems interesting for video shotsGreat value for a variety of functionsCompact and charges via USBC

A friend showed me this light because I do a lot studio Macro and small product photography. It's perfect. I frequently use small lights with filters to get the look I want. However, I have to use gels to get the colors I want, but they're always a little off and they are always super saturated. This light takes care of everything, it's easy to use, and I get the results I want without messing with extra tape or clamps. It just works the way I need it to.This Godox lets me use white light and it lets me control the intensity. I can adjust the light on the Kelvin scale, or I can dial in just about any shade of color while controlling the saturation and brightness levels. This is a big deal to me, as I get more accurate images during moments of capture. It's small, it's light weight and I can mount it on any articulation arm that has a hot shoe connection. It also comes with a diffuser that works as large light source for the small items I shoot.The controls on the back are simple to use and become intuitive shortly after using it. I've shot it quite a bit since getting this light and I haven't needed to charge it.This is a great a light at a great price. And again, it simply works. I will be purchasing more of these and I've been showing and recommending to my friends.

I'm very impressed by this little light. I like using continuous rather than flash, so this thing is perfect. It's strong enough for smaller subject key lighting, and plenty for fill.Output adjustments are quite granular, 1% to 100% provides all the brightness variations I need.USB C charging is very nice, and I'm glad everything is moving to that standard.The diffuser is a nice touch.I don't use the effects, but they seem convincing enough.I can't think of a thing wrong with this lighting tool. Perhaps longer battery life would be nice, but it's perfectly acceptable as it is.The light is bright and the price is right. If you need a lower lumens, battery powered, compact rig, buy this.

This is a fun little LED light. The build quality is higher than I expected for such an inexpensive light. The light output isn't super bright for a primary light source - but that isn't really what this light is designed for. (At 3' from the subject, my settings were 1/125, f/4, ISO 1600 for a proper exposure). However, as a video accent light, this thing is super cool (1/30, f/2.8, ISO 200).If you are using it for a calibrated light source, the WB seems accurate. It gets warm and goes to a blue/white. This would be great a subtle fill light coming from the camera that you can match to either daylight or incandescent lighting with decent precision.However, my primary use will be the RGB aspects for accent lighting. You can select any RGB value you like via Hue / Saturation / Brightness adjustments. For rim and ambient lighting, this would be pretty cool. TIP (I had to read the manual for this), hold down "M" to cycle into the RBG mode. I have to admit I'd prefer a RBG button instead of a long hold for this feature.It does have some fun "FX" modes on it, like police cars, a TV flickering, a broken light, and a fire (plus a few more). For use as a practical light, this would do well. It's small and compact (about the size of a go-pro camera). There is a mild magnet built in. It supports itself but isn't crazy strong. I can hold up paper on my refrigerator with it, but couldn't support much weight beyond itself.The diffusion screen is simple and effective. I'll likely leave it on all the time unless I'm super desperate for the extra light output.The coldshoe is made of plastic and has the classic screw lock (on all Godox lights). I wish they'd switch that up to something a bit easier to use like almost all other flash manufactures have. You can also connect other lights to this one via build in coldshoe mounts. That would work great for any of the constant lights, but I don't think the "FX" modes would sync up very well among all the lights. Not a deal-breaker by any means.Overall this is a cool little light. Its compact size and diversity means it'll have a place in my location lighting bag. I'll likely pick up 2 more so I have a little like to practical lights.
