The macro light it self looked well constructed, but it will not work with a Canon STM lens because the adapter plate screws into the front of the lens and is too heavy for the lens to focus with it attached. if you have a UTM lens it should work fine as the focusing is all done inside the lens. unfortunately it looks like the only macro ring light that will work is canons and is $550.

It works great on my Panasonic Lumix G-95. (lens uses the 58 mm adapter) But I had to pretty much figure out the "How" on my own. The manual (such as it is) is written in something charitably described as "Chinglish", in tiny light gray print. I found a PDF online, which helps just to get the print large enough to read, but very, very basic. I found some videos online that taught me a lot more about setting it up and options. I'm playing with settings, and getting some very promising photos. It would have been nice to have, someplace, much more discussion about the interaction of shutter speed, aperture, distance and power level. I'll get it figured out, but wish I had more guidance. And also wish that there had been a 46 mm adaptor for one of my lenses. (A bunch I don't need, that one I do isn't included, I can work around it by buying an inexpensive 46-to-49 mm adaptor and then using the 49 mm one, but all I needed was one more... ) So overall an excellent product with substandard documentation.

A side still works, but the B side is dead.great flash, but longevity and support are lacking.

If my life had depended on following the user's manual instructions, I wouldn't be writing anything!! For example, try removing the flash ring using the graphic in the manual...or NOT. Don't damage your lens or camera. Hopefully, there is some competent user-friendly competition. Yes, I'm a novice so I needed all the help the manual could offer: NIL!

I love this for macro photography. It is also great for portrait work. Combine this with a high end mirror less camera and you can work in as close as 4.5” macro photography.

Love Godox, unfortunately this will not work with Canon, at least newer models. I should of known since it was supposed to work with several models not just Canon.

マクロリングフラッシュということで、商品撮影で光も回りやすく使いやすく光量も十分です。発光箇所もA・B・全灯の３種類選べ発行量の調整も出来るので明暗を表現することも可能です。ポートレートでキャッチライト用に使用しても良さそうです。ほとんどのカメラメーカーと互換性もあるので仲間同士で１台あると便利かと思われます。８種類のレンズアダプターが付属してますが、82mmは用意されてなく、私の場合はステップダウンリングを使用し、取り付けに工夫する必要がありました。描写の良いレンズは口径が大きいものが多いので、82mmまで対応出来ると良いと思われます。

I was looking into buying a 24mm probe lens but that thing is $1500 and is pretty bulky. I already have a 90mm micro lens and honestly just needed a light source in front of my lenses. Then, I randomly found this flash and decided to give it a try.It gets the job done for me and is a much less expensive alternative! I love this flash. If you are into macro photography, I recommend.Another plus is that the flash can be attached to multiple lenses of different sizes.
