Optimal Li-Ion Battery Performance

I just got done shooting a wedding with this flash and i couldn’t be happier. The recycle time is amazing and I didn’t even have to replace the battery.The TTL metering worked much better than the older Godox flash I had. Very happy!

I bought one of these then returned it but then realized I needed it, so I purchased it again. It holds up well. The battery life is great and off a full charge will last an entire event plus more. I rarely charge mine. I love this thing.

Godox fait des flash de très bonne qualité, pas de mauvaise surprise. J’ai acheté celui-ci pour l’utiliser en 2e flash ou en éclairage de fond, les accessoires fournis avec sont top et permettent de l’utiliser sur un trepied. +1 pour les filtres couleurs qui permettent de tester des nouvelles choses et d’être créatif !

Be very careful with this product. The horseshoe adapter is plastic so it can break fairly easy. My flash fell 2ft off a coffee table and the horseshoe piece broke. I was crushed, since it happened the first day of shooting. But, luckily the replacement piece was simple to swap out. Im back to shooting and this flash is great all things considered.

For the money, functionality to build quality this flash is a hit! Love the rechargeable battery. They didn't over-hype it's charge performance output. It retains a good charge for a long time for sure! Way better than lugging around a bunch of rechargeable AA batteries! I don't miss having to do that! Well worth the buy; you won't regret the purchase.

Powerful and versatile. I've been in love with it so far. High speed sync is a godsend, especially at this price point. Battery life has been superb so far.My one gripe is how frequently it goes to sleep, and there's no way to adjust that timer. With heavy use you may find that the bulb heats up quickly and will not fire until it's cooled down considerably.All that said, definitely worth picking up, especially at this price point.

I have been using this light for over a year now. It works flawlessly in all scenarios. I have now replaced all my name brand flashes with Godox products and have zero regrets. The li-on battery has enough to last me through a whole event or wedding. It also works great in a softbox in the studio. The recycle times are better than my previous AA powered speedlights. And no more messing around with all those batteries! I have read people having problems with a plastic shoe, but I have multiple of these and they all are still in perfect condition.Highly recommended!

In my opinion this is THE best flash on the market for Sony at the moment. The v860ii is basically the same as the cheaper TT685 flash except the battery is now Lithium Ion rather than AA power. In terms of power output both are identical. Don't mistakenly think the v860 will give you more power per flash. It won't.As a result, the speedlight will recycle faster and last much longer. If you measure the recycle times for a full power flash then the v860ii is a good 25% if not more faster. However. In the real world we're talking half a second or so. So I wouldn't personally get too excited about the faster recycle times.The v860ii does not have a external port. So you cannot attach an external battery pack. Why you'd want to do that with this flash is beyond me.The main issue I have with the v860ii-S is that the plastic hotshoe. You will need to replace it at some point. It's not a matter of if but when. So you may want to just order one now and keep it in a cupboard as a spare.But for the price/performance you really can't grumble. I can now go around 3 weddings between charges. No more charging a pile of AA's before every wedding! That in itself is worth the extra for me.If you are a working professional who uses their speedlight a lot then get the v860ii. If you're a keen amateur or do the occasional job. The TT685s will be more than enough.
