One star it too generous for the piece of junk. There's a crackling noise in the audio and the product can't be returned or replaced. Big waste of money. Don't buy this!

For to the cost, was not expecting anything less than faultless operation and this is what we got (so far). Connected a TV, via optical, to this extender over CAT6 (24m) to Yamaha A6A, working flawlessly, no loss or delay whatsover. Highly recommended, let's now see if it lasts. Build quality looks good, so don't think it will just pack up in short time, but will see over time and update here if it does pack up.

I am using this item with the RCA connection from a mixer over 200' via cat 6 cable to the 3.5mm stereo connection to the mic input of an ATEM Mini Pro. The volume and quality of the sound is good. This solution has solved my sound problems for live streaming.

Make sure you read the input verses the output as it only works the right way around. I tried it backwards and it doesn't work. LOL Had to set the Fire Stick 4k to PCM as my HDMI audio extractor has a digital coax out but it just buzzed on any other audio output format.

These likely work OK but I couldn't get PCM on my TV, so they didnt work for my application. Looked like a quality build tho.

This is a awesome device. The Poe makes it very useful for many installations. I tried analog twisted pair extenders before and still get a lot of noise. This thing is very quick and has been working for over 6 months in on of my setups. Love it.

I installed this in a church to connect a Rodgers organ to an ATEM Mini for video streaming. The CAT5e cable length was about 130 ft with 4 additional connections in breakout boxes. The input and output used were both analog. The fact that it was powered from only the RX end simplified the installation. The noise level of this device is extremely low. I could not tell it was on unless the organ was playing. When I tried connecting the system with shielded analog cable the hum was unbearable.I recommend this device for anyone trying to run audio over long distances with a CAT5e cable.

I had an installation to complete which required a 85 feet long audio channel transmission. Optical alone proved useless due to the signal degradation, as the AV receiver couldn't decode the signal coming from the distant outdoors TV monitor. I connected 1-50 ft long optical cable, added a 35 ft optical cable via a coupler, with no good results. Then Ordered and installed this optical over Ethernet adapter and ran the entire distance a CAT-6 cable, added just to try out the 50 ft optical cable at the input device which has the power inserter on it, and at the other end, 85 ft away added the other adapter and then the 35 ft optical cable and on to the AV receiver. It worked flawlessly. It tells me that the booster in this adapter works great. Obviously there is no need to have such long optical cables at the input or output, but those will be replaced later on with 5 footers. Thank you for the solution!
