This item is cute. Heavier than expected. Works perfectly on my Ninja Foodi. Remember to put it on before starting your timer. If you have issues, it's most likely operator error and not the product itself. Get a feel for how it feels and works on your particular brand of pressure cooker.

Looks great and routes the steam away from areas you don’t want steam to hit.

This little Minion cover for an InstantPot steam valve works perfectly! I bought it for a friend that has cabinets over all her countertops so that she could redirect the steam away from the cabinets. I tested it at my house to see if it would work. It did! It's so cute. The only thing was to be sure not to cover the silver pop-up/drop-down or the steam will release prematurely. You want to be sure it's not touching that. I made the mistake and was able to quickly move it over so that it did not. Shared that tip with my friend. And you benefit from my mistake also if you get one.

This worked like a charm. Steam was diverted out to the side and did not reach the cabinets. Was a great value.

(I. Gabriel)

Big fan of the Minnions. Could have spent a similar (or slightly less) amount of money on some anonymous black silicone steam diverter, which, admittedly, would have matched the colour scheme of my Instant Pot better, but you only live once! I have an Instant Pot Duo, this doesn't state it is designed for my Instant Pot, but it works all the same. Pop him over the steam vent capturing the sticky-out bit in the gap his denim 'trousers'. Twist him round anti-clockwise. Steam comes pouring out of his glasses (so make sure they're facing where you want the steam to go!). Be careful when you rinse him under the tap: the inside of the back of his head is shaped to push everything that goes into the bottom, out through his glasses, and you can end up wetting things unintentionally as the water doesn't go where you expect it to! Ask me how I know this!

I love the feature of many placement holes along the bottom side of the minion. I can rotate to the perfect spot to release the steam. Some other selections had only two, didn’t buy those. My husband used the instapot while I recovered from surgery and thought the minion was the coolest thing after I advised him of its use and benefits. We call him by name and make sure he is out for his services. He’s just so stinking cute!

I hope to give an an honest review on this item (steam diverter by Goldlion) that I received. This diverter was estimated to arrive in 3-6 weeks, but it arrived in 3 days. I was excited to try this item out, on my 3qt Instant Pot Mini Duo & my 8qt Duo Plus. I have tried other steam diverters some worked alright and others were just too big or top heavy, despite ordering it for the right pressure cooker model.I am happy to say that this steam diverter by Goldlion fits snugly on the vent release valve (IP 3qt Mini) and does not cause it to leak. It can be left on the steam release valve during cooking, then just turn the valve/diverter when you are ready to release/divert the pressure. This is very helpful, so you don't get burned. The pressure can be diverted away from your cabinets.Other steam diverters I have used were too big or top heavy, which caused the valve to leak, so it could not be left on the valve during cooking. This caused me to have to carefully slide the diverter over the steam release valve, when I was ready to release/divert the steam. Sometimes steam would escape while trying to install the diverter. This a bit of a scary thing to happen.Update: I am not able to leave this little steam diverter on the vent release valve for my IP 8qt Duo Plus. The valve sits in the lid lower than my mini.I really like this little minion diverter by Goldlion. It is cute and functions wonderfully. Thank you for making it.I hope the price reduces a little. It sells for 13.99. The average economical price for steam diverters is between 5.99 & 11.99.Also, caution when shopping, there's another steam diverter by Nenazz that looks exactly like the one I reviewed from Goldlion. I do not know if that diverter is exactly the same or not.I hope this review was helpful.Happy pressure cooking.

UPDATED TIP:When using it on the pressure relief valve in the closed position on the Ninja Foodi, make sure you have not turned it too far that direction as the valve may not seal completely. If that happens, just bring it back towards the open position - JUST a tiny nudge. Thats all it needs.Original Review:I bought this to use with my 8qt Ninja Foodi, which, right now, I'm using in our RV.While our RV has lots of room, and lots of counter space, the cabinets sit pretty low to the counters and I have limited areas to use such a big appliance. It's short cord makes it impossible to use on the table (which I accidentally collapsed once, so that's not a safe option anyway), and the device's permanently attatched crisper lid limits its position on the counter top. So diverting steam is pretty important as it otherwise puts out lots of moisture directly on the cabinets. You really don't want structures getting wet in an RV.At first I used a towel hung from a cabinet and draped across the permanent crisping lid (which has to be open when using the pressure cooker lid), and that worked "ok" but was a pain. Then I came across this little gadget in an article that popped up in my news feed, thought 'what a great idea!', and decided to try it.It fits great on my pressure lid, and, just as someone else demonstrated in a video here, it hooks onto the pressure relief valve knob in such a way that it allows the part you normally grasp (to turn the pressure release valve open or closed) to stick out through one of the 4 holes at the bottom. See attatched picture. So all you need to do is turn this little fella, which then easily turns the pressure release valve for you, and you have easy instant pressure release and steam diversion with no worries of hot steam hitting your fingers! The steam that comes out of the diverter is much cooler than at the point it first exits the valve. The entire thing is made of silcone, and is thick and sturdy enough to use with no concern of it collapsing on you. Sooo easy to use.Overall, I have to say this is great, ingenious and so darn cute! I was also really surprised at how delighted my husband was with it. An added bonus!Highly recommend!

I use this on my 6-quart Instant Pot. I have used it several times now and it works like a charm. Nice and sturdy and cute to boot. I put it on when I am ready to start, it doesn't prevent the valve from closing. It is safe and easy to turn when it is time to vent and the steam blows out about 9-12 inches before dispersing, no more wet cabinets! Before you use it the first time, I would play with the positioning to make sure it will disperse in the direction you want, since there are 4 ways to place it. Also, it will fall off when you turn over the lid, so remove it first.
