A rare compression sock product that does not slip down from the calf, which is so aggravating. These stay in place, are just the right compression and thickness--not too bulky, not too thin.

These are made from medium thickness material which contains 48% rayon, 32% polyester, 15% recycled polyester, and 5% spandex and very soft to the touch. The level of compression on my wide size 11 feet is moderate. The package implies mild and even compression, and would be for smaller feet. The toe area has a separated material that gives relief from the compression of the rest of the sock. They remained comfortable without creating excessive heat or discomfort for the entire day today, and seem to be well constructed. I give them 4 stars because I'm not certain the price is justified for only two pairs. Designed in South Carolina, and manufactured in China.

We recently cleaned out my husbands sock drawer, and he needed blue dress socks. I ordered him some for Valentine’s Day, but I ended up returning them because they were so dark (navy) that neither of us could tell they weren’t black, which would have been terrible for sorting. Then I ordered another BLUE (not navy) six pack with both solids and patterns, they fit ok, and he’d gotten a Valentine’s Day present. (Thanks, Amazon, for always providing what we need.) So when I gave him these he wasn’t even pleased— he was like— why do I need more blue socks? Then he tried them on, and his proclamation was, “These are sweeet!”, drawing out the sweeeeet as only a true Southerner can. Over socks. I don’t get that much enthusiasm over— anything.So I agree. These are really well made, with extra padding in the ball of the foot and the heel, what feels like true arch support woven in, and he says they’ll stay up over his calf without making dents in his legs. We just threw away some ancient gold toes and they didn’t used to be built like this. We’re both impressed and pleased, and would definitely buy these again.

These socks arrived packaged well and as described.If you are on your feet all day, travel long trips, sit at an office desk, or have a specific need these socks are very helpful. The socks are easy enough to get on and take off, while still providing plenty of compression. This is a major plus for me, as many brands are very difficult to put on and take off. My foot is a size 11.5MThe socks have nice padding at the front of the foot and the heel, which I also find comfortable. After wearing the socks for a full day they still felt very comfortable and I was not in a rush to get them off.I have tried about 20 prior brands of compression socks, including ones with zippers on the side. These Gold Toe's have provided the most comfort and function out of everything else I have tried.Everyone finds different comfort levels based on design. To simplify why I am so impressed with the gold toe socks is: They go on easy, they provide firm even compression, they remain comfortable even after 12 hours, they are well padded and they come off just as easy. I was unable to find all of those characteristics in other brands, prior to these gold toes. I will now be purchasing some.
