I am transmitting ultrasonic signals with these and they are surprisingly good for what they are. I'm not sure how they come to the conclusion these are 8 ohms but never mind. I cracked one open and it is a cheapo piezo disc inside. The clever part must be the shape of the cavity (even though it is simply plastic). Nevertheless they give quite a good ping.

I used this to replace a blown tweeter in an ALESIS STRIKE AMP Monitor, It sounds pretty good and I was happy for the price on it.... I have blown 2 tweeters in this since Ive had it, the original and then the DS18 (Images attached), the highs are not of the same quality but that can be adjusted in Superior Drummer 3 software that I use and sounds fairly good, It is a piezo (flat disc with 2 wires originally used for mic's) don't have to worry about blowing a speaker cone anyway haha.... It was a good solution for me. I have tons of piezo disk cuz I'm constantly repairing my drumpads. So... if anything ever happens to this I still have the housing unit and Ill just slap in another piezo and done ;)

Got some pro studio speakers from and auction. Found that both 15” horn tweeter piezo elements were bad. These fit exactly in the rear of the horns. I just swapped the piezo elements . Even the hole patterns were the same. Happy to have highs again.

i bought these jus as get me by's and they def do that. although after hooking em up i found out my crossover network was also bad in one of my jrx 125's but believe it or not just the one side had enough highs to make the sound in a local venue clearer, so im sure with 2 itll be better. i mean i wouldnt think of using these full time but they are a good, cheap sub when you dont have enough for a higher quality item.
