I got this for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who absolutely LOVES the snow, but it can get cold here in Michigan. She's 12 months old, 15 pounds and the large fits her perfectly. It was easy to put on which is what I was looking for. I didn't want one with a zipper because she has longer hair, so the velcro is perfect. The D ring is secure. She pulls sometimes on walks and it wasn't an issue. The velcro stayed secure too. I ordered the black with the red lining and love that she has an extra layer in the snow and cold. I'm going to get a second one to have if we go back outside before this one is dry.

Love this jacket for our pup. It's nice and thick for warmth. Inside fleece is cozy and outside slicker covering - it literally is a dog version of a human winter coat. Fits our dog perfectly which is hard to do as she's a dachshund. Velcro closure under the belly holds well and has a clip ring for a leash so you don't need an harness. Not worried about her pulling out of it at all. Only downside is with the belly closure this is a little more work to get on and off than the Mountaineer Jacket we also have, but I think this one looks warmer/cozier so I'm willing to take a little extra time. Oh and did you see all the fun colors?!

He says it's his favourite. Cozy and not terribly embarassing to wear like some pet clothing. He thinks he looks dashing and sporty. It fits amazing. He is 17 lbs. Pug, Boston terrier, dachshund mix. So rather hard to fit. This jacket fits with a fleece sweater underneath for very cold days or just by itself for average winter days. The velcro is wide enough for adjustment across the chest. It is a sturdy little coat. Size large fit this 17 pound dog.

I've tried around 10 doggie vests in an effort to get something that fit my shih tzu. She's on the bigger end of the breed (not pure by any means) about 13#. This is the first one I'm not returning so that says 'something'. It runs big. I measured her (neck, back and chest) and ordered by their guide (small). It's very long but mostly just on the top so it doesn't interfere with them taking care of their business and doesn't push too far at her tail. The saving grace for this is the velcro. Wearing it with the velcro closed as tight as possible allows it to fit her well (a little loose but well). The bad part is the excess velcro (and jacket trap) extends out and looks a bit awkward. If I could sew I'd trim it down but I'm happy enough she has a jacket that fits. Quality is nice and I've washed it without issue. It does say not to dry (even tumble) so I didn't ... though I'd like to because I think that tiny shrinkage would be beneficial. My fear though is that the material might not take that.

Fleece inner keeps my pooch toasty warm. Recently caught in fairly heavy rain shower but no sign of damp seeping through to fleece inner. Definitely going to buy another.

I bought a small for my 3 pound Chorkie. She wears fitwarm jammies in the winter so I got something that was going to be a little more roomy. To be honest, for $25 I wasn't expecting much....but....this coat truly surprised me in a great way! I got the orange, hoping it would be bright and easy to see. It's a beautiful orange with a beautiful turquoise lining. The orange outer shell is soft, silky, quality weather resistant fabric. The turquoise lining is a soft fleece...I see it wearing as you might expect...getting pilled a scruffy...but brand new It's soft, warm, and bright. It has 3 velcro tab closures on the front. The velcro is strong and quality. This coat has two silver pieces that run the length of the coat and they are reflective. There is also a D ring up by the neck, which I attach a "night light" to so I can see my little one in the yard after dark. The belly comes down and covers just below her ribs. The back goes down just to her tail and it doesn't pop up when she's sniffing the ground. The arm holes are roomy enough for her jammies to fit through without binding up. She is only 3 pounds and I bought a small. Technically, she would have fit an extra small. I would recommend this coat for quick outside potty trips for a little dog. I would recommend it for bigger dogs for short outside adventures. If your dog is going to be outside for a lengthy time, like in the snow, I might get one size up and put a sweater on underneath. I am impressed with the fabric, the velcro, and the cut/shape of this coat. A fantastic buy at $25....quality that should be expected but rarely gotten.

Ultimately, I chose this coat.In terms of sizing, this coat runs just slightly small. My little Westie Maggie is very petite for a Westie. She's 16 lbs. with an 18 inch chest. The large fits her snug as a bug! Her "cousin," my sister's 20 lb. Westie, would need an XL.The tag on the coat gives good examples for estimating size. XS: 3-5 lbs., good for smaller Yorkshires, Pomeranians, Malteses, or Chihuahuas. S: 5-8 lbs., good for larger Yorkshires, Pomeranians, Malteses, Chihuahuas, or smaller Shih Tsus. Med.: 8-15 lbs., good for smaller Min. Poodles, or larger Malteses, or Shih Tzus. Large: 15-20 lbs.: smaller Boston Terriers, Welsh Corgis, Min. Schnauzers, Daucshunds,or Westies.XL: 20-25 lbs.: larger Boston Terriers, Dachshunds, Welsh Corgis, Min. Schnauzers, Westies, or average Beagles. This coat, with its thick fleece and tight shell, allows her to be comfortable at a windy 10 degrees.It's hard to tell from the photos how attractive the coat is. The pink one is lined with a beautiful, thick aqua colored fleece (not powder blue as depicted). Every seam is tight and well-sewn. The D-ring allows it to be used as a harness, and the two narrow highly reflective strips (not the lining as described) offer some limited visibility.We both love this coat! It's the easiest coat to get her into that I've tried; usually its a big struggle getting her legs in and out, with lots of fierce growling! Maggie wags her tail when I pick up this vest. "We're going out!" Being the regal little princess that she is, she loves all the oohs and aahs she receives when she is wearing this very chic pink coat. Given its exceptional quality, I expect this beautiful coat to last for years.Briefly, the down coat is a coat fit for the frozen tundra of Minnesota or the fierce wind of Chicago. Or, if you have a little shiverer, a toasty coat for more moderate climes. It's a true down "puffer" coat. It runs quite large- Maggie swam in it, so she would have taken a medium. I have a deformed right hand, and my left hand is a little arthritic, so snapping the snap and zipping the zipper was difficult for me. The zipper is large and beefy, but I had trouble with it sticking some between the two D-rings. Most people with good dexterity shouldn't have a problem. Again, the quality is exceptional.As for the quilted jacket, it is more of a spring jacket, or even a jacket for around the house for dogs who get cold easily. It runs very small- Maggie definitely would have taken an XL. It was a little easier for me to use the zipper than the down coat, but still not worth the hassle. Also very pretty and of excellent quality.I highly recommend all three of these coats. I've become a true Gooby evangelist!
