I have a toy Aussie 15 pounds. I can handle the dog but he surprised me twice and pulled the leash out of my hand with the standard loop for a handle 2 times. I cannot have this happen.This Gooby Wristband Surfer Leash with Traffic Handle leash wraps easily around my wrist and tightens down with Velcro. It is padded. The dog cannot pull the leash out of my hand anymore. There is a walking handle. I adjusted it to 3 feet which I use for walk-heel-mode. The width of the leash is more than 2 times wider than the runner I have. It also makes me hands-free while I tie off the poop bag. I have walked him 5 times now with this leash.This product for the dog, at least my dog, is excellent. This product for me gives me assurance that the dog cannot get away from me.

I like this leash, but the reason for four stars is that it's quite thin for the price. The leash strap itself it thin, the connecting clasp is on the small side, and the d-ring is small too. For being my most expensive leash, it's also the thinnest I own, and it might make you nervous if your dog is over 20 lbs.But the wrist strap is nice, and so far it stays connected well. This model has two features that their less expensive model doesn't have - this has a D-ring near the wrist strap, and an adjustable handle separate from the wrist strap. Both these features I use every day and consuder must haves.The D-ring is nicely positioned, it's towards the top, but it's a little below the wrist strap. So the things you hang on it won't be hitting your hand. I hang a dog bag holder and a hand sanitizer keychain there. It's not a very big D-ring though, so getting two things on their was a tight fit.And the traffic handle is a great addition. By adjusting either side of the straps, you can position it to be pretty much anywhere on the leash that you want. I have it at about 4 feet and hold it for the majority of the walk. But it's nice knowing that if I need to be hands free for a moment, I have the backup of the wrist strap in case my dog suddenly moves.Overall I recommend it and I'll probably be picking it up in a second color. Just wish it came in a thicker/sturdier option, especially for the price point.

I love the idea of the wrist wrap and that part seems pretty sturdy! The idea and the leash itself are all great I just don’t love the quality of the actual leash… if it were a more durable nylon lead that would be great!! But for the price it is really awesome! I use it to walk/run and especially Bike and rollerblade with my dogs!! It gives me the control I need without having my hands being constantly in use and the assurance that even if I fall or let go my dog is still attached! Just needs some better quality materials in my opinion
