This was a long project. I removed a cupola from another property I had. I was going to trash it. Family said it just needed paint. LOL!!! I knew better Other then the roof I had to rebuild it completely Turned out well. The weather vane that was on it was old ben franklin flying a kite. Cute but too small! We selected the copper rooster. It looks awesome. The quality of the the rooster is excellent. It is shiny and spins freely as the wind blows. We really like it.

The rooster itself was well made. However, it was a gift. I spoke with Sean from Good Directions a couple of times about returning it & buying a Fox weathervane in its place. He agreed to the return & promised a refund. In good faith, we returned the rooster at a cost of $108. Purchased & received the Fox but never got the redund. Could have kept the rooster & sold it ourselves to someone else.

I wanted a working wind vane, not just a decorative piece and this one seems to work well. I have a weather station that indicates wind direction and the vane is reasonably consistent with it. Equally important is the craftsmanship and, I have to say, it looks stunning. Many compliments.

Weather is stunning!! However the main pole was bent pretty badly, we had to use several tools to round out the pole so that it would slide together with the other piece! Instructions could use an update as well!! Other than that very nice!

this was the final touch on Yadkin County's finest hen house. I left installation to my 2 sons who had it perched on the roof in no time. has been up several months and shows no signs of weathering. weather vane action seems accurate and this thing just simply looks real good.

This is an amazing piece and true to what was printed.. A good size weathervane and well made of copper and brass plus a heavy well make item. When I saw this advertised and the picture I thought it was more weathered and old looking which I would like. I had wanted to use it into my rock garden. I have been adding weathered metal pieces for an attraction instead of flowers as I gave up on flowers because of the deer. This weathered rooster weathervane would have worked great but when it came it was not weathered but shinny copper and brass. It is a wonderfully made weathervane and heavy. I was amazed at how well it was packed there was no way any of this would have become bent. It was easy to put together even for this 92 year old lady. It is amazing and great size and would show off great as a weathervane. I will put it to good use once it gets weathered and old looking and make a great weathervane for my house. You will need to buy brackets for your roof as they did not come with is set. There were two different sizes so you will need to purchase the size you need. I would have given it more stares if it had been weathered.

This is a splendid bit of art, very well done and finished in brass and copper. I have only now unpacked and assembled it, since the new roof will be installed next week, so I have no idea of how it will appear when nicely weathered; dull gold as to the brass, and green on the copper bits, I presume. It was, as advertised, quite easy to assemble with the tools (flat screwdriver and two pair of pliers) that I would HOPE everyone has on hand.I would remind purchasers that a mount for this items is NOT included, and must be purchased separately, depending on where you want to place it.(Edited to include a picture of the roof-crew installing it. They were very impressed, even more impressed about my back-yard chickens. It's now up on the roof, spinning freely in the slightest gust of wind ... and it looks magnificent!)
