Good Directions 303V1-304V1 Mounts-Accessories Weathervane Parts, Blue Verde"Blue Verde: is a type of finish to make copper appear old and weathered. That finish can be sanded (steel wool?) off if needed; for example, tinning. In the Customer Image, the weathervane down to the first ball is 40 years old – and weathered. On the new copper pipe section, you’ll see these two blue verde balls mounted. Not exactly the same weathered color as the 40 year old copper, but a lot closer than would be shiny new copper. One of the holes in the small ball had to be enlarged to 7/8" for it to fit over the 3/4" copper pipe. That weathervane is mounted on a tool shed in the photo. This easily damaged product was shipped in an Amazon paper shipping bag. The larger ball had a few small dents -- which luckily can't be seen from more than 5' away. Nevertheless, shipment should be in a protective box. Other than that, this is an excellent product.I’ve ordered once directly from Good Directions, and that product was shipped in a box – so you might want to buy these balls directly from them...
