For the value this spinner works great for all vegetables and fruits. I like that you can pour the water out directly without removing the top.

I had one like that for 15 years. The size is perfect and the handle helps you hold the container as it is spinning.

This product is the best out there, especially for the great price. It is very durable, along the lines of a rubber made type of plastic so it has a bit of flexibility. It washes very easily, and does a fantastic job of drying lettuce due to the superb spinning system. Very easy to spin if you don't overload, and has a nice handle to hold, and and decent handle for the spinner. This is my second one. I broke the first because I mistakenly tried to lift it full of rinse water, which is not what it designed for. (Always remove basket and then dump water with 2 hands, then replace and spin). You will not be disappointed with this product.

Be ready to do some removal work on the labels on the spinner. They are stuck on with permanent glue. Otherwise the spinner seems fine. Haven't used it yet because I'm still trying to get the stickers off.

After reading dozens of salad spinner reviews, watching videos on the subject, and waiting for years for "them" to invent something better than the Oxo pump mechanism acrylic saiad spinner (which I had owned 2 sizes of and decided I didn't like), I finally decided to get this inexpensive, no-frills spinner. My other options were the ultra high-end stainless steel kinds - you know the kind I mean. The kind that cost 3 digits, and still has plastic parts, except that you get an expensive stainless steel bowl that you don't need because you already have lots of those. Decided to give this Good Cook inexpensive model last try before I go for high-end. It's not bad. The handle means you can really hold on to it (but due to centrifugal force, still need to rest it on a kitchen towel or nonslip mat as it has no rubber feet). It opens and shuts firmly and easily (no fussy latches). It has really large capacity (takes up counter space, but my small, space-saving Progressive spinner can't handle the amount of salad I need to dry). The lid goes easily into the dishwasher and is designed so that it would not retain a lot of water when you take it out of the machine (fairly open-air design). The spin mechanism is fairly efficient (large circles when you turn). However, it takes a lot more arm strength than expected to spin the knob vigorously (not for the feeble). No brakes, but I don't miss brakes. DOES IT DRY? I would say it has average drying power. I had to give salad two very vigorous spins before every leaf was completely dry-looking. The most annoying thing about this spinner is that there are two large paper stickers on it (with brand/logo), that you have to carefully peel off so as not to leave adhesive smears. Plastic is average thickness, not stiff/brittle - it's the flexible kind - obviously as this price point it's not super durable plastic, but my Progressive spinner has lasted 10 years and is made of the same plastic. I hope this is it. If not, I'll have to upgrade again.

The GoodCook Salad Spinner will take up a lot of storage space, but that's to be expected with something that handles such a large amount of greens at the same time. When the contents are well balanced, the spinner works smoothly and does a great job of extracting most of the water. The handle is nice for holding it steady while spinning and for pouring the water out. The plastic the spinner is made of seems less prone to cracking than the clearer material used on some other salad spinners. The spinner is a simple mechanism with no added bells and whistles such as a brake but you can easily stop the spin, if you wish, by hand. Overall, we are very happy with this product that we chose for its large capacity but are also pleased with how well it functions.

Okay, here goes - this may sound odd. I was looking for an alternative to wringing out my hand washing. Most of the products made specifically for that purpose were rather pricey or at least more than I wanted to spend. This salad spinner does the job quite handily. Eventhough it is large for a salad spinner, you can't spin too many of your hand washables in it. Two pairs of underwear/bras or maybe one tshirt. Still, you can extract a lot more water than just by wringing alone. Worked great for my needs.

This salad spinner is exactly what I have been looking for! I love that the plastic has some give to it and as a result won't split like many other spinners I have purchased over the years. This spinner is by no means fancy, it is entirely and solely a functional piece - which is exactly what I needed. It is also quite large, easily spin and prepare a meal sized salad for 4 people. The plastic base seems strong and the spinner top is easy to clean and appears to have less doodads, meaning, less stuff to break. The straining spout is so awesome, I don't have to open the entire spinner to get the liquid out for subsequent spins - YAY!

Es fácil de usar y sobre todo de lavar.El tamaño es suficiente. La única queja sería la dificultad para remover sus partes para su limpieza.

WOW, I didn't realize how big this was! But this works very well and very easy to use. I don't hold it by the handle while turning, but instead I place my hand on the lid and then turn. I would say this would hold one large head of lettuce. It's big!Smooth turning/spinning on this. Lid lines up perfect. Washes well and delivery was fast.I highly recommend this!

Before I purchased this salad spinner, I had a cheap one from the dollar store, and let me tell ya--this bad boy is alllllll that and a bag of chips. It's HUGE (I can fit 4-5 full chopped heads of romaine in it at once), and the handle makes it extremely easy to spin for as long as necessary (I actually purchased it based on reviews and the fact that it has a handle, because the ones with no handle and hard to hold while spinning). It works exactly as it should, it's cute, and worth every penny. I hand wash mine, because I saw a review where the dishwasher warped the spinner basket. The fact that the price is low made this an even better purchase. I know it's silly to get excited about a Salad Spinner, but...this one is definitely worthy of your excitement, because it makes life much easier when you eat salads a lot. :)
