This appears to be an upgraded revision of the original part that froze up after 12 years, and that caused my pipes to freeze/ burst. I hope this one lasts longer : (

When the professional furnace guy came to install the part he said that the part was clearly used. Thankfully it worked, but it's annoying to think you are buying a new product when in actuality you are not. I would have had no idea had I not hired a professional to do the install.

The gas valve was needed quickly to get my furnace working again and not having to pay big bucks for an HVAC tech to come out and tell me he will need to order the part and charge me 3 times what I paid for it on Amazon. I ordered it Sunday night and had a new valve from Amazon on Tuesday and replaced it that night. Installing it was the hardest part. It worked like a charm. I have no complaints about the new valve.
