The title and description both refer to this as leather, claiming it can be tooled, and even pointing out that there is "little fur on surface". Then the description also points out that this is synthetic leather in one sentence, in the middle of the description, just to not get hit with making a false claim.This is 100% fake leather. Cutting through this, there are cotton-like fibers that have to be singed in order to clean up the edge. And this has more give to it than real leather, with a slight stretching. This can not be tooled or wet formed/shaped, if your intention is making belts or wrapping handles.

Picked up a pair of these to make costume belts. The width and length are as expected, but the material is quite thin. I have concerns about possible tearing along where the rivets were put in.

The back of the leather is suede, but the top has been coated in a very thin plastic which I’m sure will not hold up well to wear and tear of daily use. I’m returning the product.
