IMPORTANT: If you have side rails that are 24-inches tall and/or are preloading tension over 25-inches above your side rail, you may need to order the Spring Assembly instead of just the Cable and Quick Link. Quick Link will reduce cable travel distance by 2.25-inches. Bolt cutters are required for removing the old cables. Please note that the shipping address provided MUST HAVE a mail receptacle. Getting the original cables off and new ones was very easy. The new cables come with a slip ring that makes the job easy. Angle cutter and a pair of pliers, a couple of wrenches is all you need.

I ordered these thru Amazon, but the parts came directly from the Gorilla Lift company. They are thinner than the last set I had and coated in plastic.....hopefully they last. They lost a star for the thinner cable.

When your lift gate assist cable loses the protective plastic coating. These are a great replacement and easy to install. It will require a bolt cutter or a cut off saw to remove the old cable from the spring. Comes with a carabiner clip to attach the new cable to the spring. It took literally 15 minutes to replace both sides of my gorilla gate lift assist.
