I have to replace the rim on my basketball goal about every two years.They start to rust after a year or so.They probably would all rust sitting next to the pool all year, so if you’re using it by the pool like us. Plan on replacing rim occasionally.It fits ok, I ended up having to buy a couple longer bolts but worked out ok.

The hoop seems to be of good quality, but the measurements did not fit my backboard as it stated it would. Mine is 3.5 x 3.25 and all of the holes were about a 1/4 inch closer (width) in than the holes on my backboard, although the height of the holes were fine. I measured the holes 3 times, but the hoops holes were not correct.

Struggled to find an actual rim that fit a 5x5 backplate with a 3.5"x3.5" hole pattern.This rim fit most of the specs needed - slid perfectly into the 5x5 slot and matched up perfect for 2 out of 4 holes. (the sizing was 3.5x2.5 - which was the closest I could find)Shipping came prompt and the product is/looks really good. Time for my kids to officially test it out :)

It is a great replacement rim for my basketball backboard with a 2.5" x 3" bolt pattern. It is not for a heavy-duty use.

I had this rim for a total of 3 days —maybe a total of 90 minutes shooting on it, and the bolts holding the rim to the backboard literally tore through the back of the rim (please see photo). There was no dunking, hanging on rim, or rough play around the net to cause this to happen. It was only ever used by one person at a time who merely took jump shots. Not sure how jump shots could break a rim so easily, but this proves it’s not very durable.The only credit I can give this rim, is it’s the only rim I’ve found so far that appears to fit my backboard. I’ve been struggling to find a rim that lines up with the holes in my backboard to actually bolt the rim to the hoop. With that said that might have something to do with why the rim broke, but I don’t see how an hour and a half of jump shots could do so much damage to a rim.

Where we live is usually very windy, but the storms this winter took their toll on our poor basketball hoop rim! The hoop crashed not once but several times onto the asphalt and brick pavers of our road and pole barn floor. The rim itself took the brunt of the impact each time and by the time I told the kids to stop putting it up or to lay it down on its side before coming inside the rim was no longer a circle, it was an oval! For our teen's birthday we bought a replacement rim and installed it onto the hoop. This was easy to install and really was a great replacement for our old now oval rim!
