The pump IS working once more (after I burned it up). Doesn't have as much or as steady pressure as before, though.

Rebuilt the pump and all is good. Will need some time to see if it holds up as well as the original pump.

I didn't buy my repair kit on Amazon but got it locally. Taking the impeller body apart was straight forward. Here is why I wrote the review: For those of you tempted to put some kind of gasket cement or (in my case, silicon grease) to get a better seal with the diaphragm, don't do it. Just clean the old surfaces and make sure everything is dry and place the gasket in place and bolt up the impeller. I couldn't find any torque specs for the casing bolts, so I took them all to 30 ft-lbs in increments using a cross-bolt pattern. Important DO NOT TURN THE PUMP ON WITHOUT WATER. It will last about as long as it takes to throw the switch on and then off. I know. I did it "just to make sure." Killed the bearing surface in the guidevane instantly. Just a dab of silicon grease would have prevented this... So prime it and then start it. Obvious now.
