They are great for spreading butter, mayo, etc. The problem is that one of the two I ordered came snapped in two pieces. They shipped in a manilla envelope with nothing to protect them from breaking.

Love, love , love these spreaders. They're so sturdy, I actually use them more than regular utensil knives. They're great for spreading butter, peanut butter, jelly, cheese balls, etc.
