Very happy with my purchase. Snapped in the hitch perfectly, and should stay put, unlike the OEM rubber plug that came with my vehicle. I thought about putting a decal on it, but decided the plain black looks good for now.

Would have given it 5 stars but for what you get it is very overpriced. It fits well and looks good but in reality a cheap piece of plastic.

Doesn't secure very well and is vulnerable at the car wash of being pulled out. The spring clips also allow the end to stick out about 3/4 inch when they lock into the pin holes. I modified so that I could put a hitch pin through it. Also had to add tape to thicken the shaft so it wont rattle. Already lost the factory one for similar issue.

The ideas behind this plug seem well-thought-out but, obviously, perfection won't be had 100% of the time. I kept losing my old push-in soft vinyl plug in the car wash until, finally, it failed to surface and I was forced to look for a replacement. Without spending an arm and a leg, I believed this might do the trick. I was right, except for two things: one, it moved back and forth a bit in the receiver and, two, I could pull it out too easily. The solution was simple. I took the plug to our local hardware store and researched their selection of rubber O-rings. If I remember correctly, I came away with an 1/8" ring that was 2" in diameter. I snugged that up behind the plug face. Voila! No more back and forth! The second problem was solved by inserting a tubular piece of foam rubber hose inside the plug which made it more difficult to depress the lock "buttons". Now it takes a bit more effort to remove the thing, but it goes through the car wash and always comes home with the truck!

I believe they have a better quality tow hitch cover at your local dollar store. This is a horrible, cheaply made item. The fact that it cost over a $1 makes it worst. And the fact that returning it would be even more money wasted makes it painful. Everything on this thing is cheap plastic. The cover is VERY thin plastic. This is something you'd avoid putting on your car/truck, as it will devalue anything you put it on.

Finally what I've been looking for! I wanted a low-profile hitch cover for my Volvo & this is it... It has no markings on it, just a simple black square. Cover snaps securely into the hitch, completely conceals the 2" opening and does not draw the eye downward (to the hitch). Item arrived quicker than expected.
