Outstanding Resonator-ukulele from Gretsch Gretsch Guitars brings their luthier mastery to the world of ukuleles with the G9112 Resonator-ukulele. This unique uke dips into the world of resonator guitars first developed in the 1930s. With a 6" biscuit resonator cone, the G9112 produces a mesmerizing blend of acoustic ukulele tone with the metallic, treble-heavy tone of a resonator. The G9112 features a laminated mahogany top and body with an ovangkol fingerboard for wonderful tone and response. An ovangkol bridge and genuine bone nut and saddle provide even more resonance and tone support — features uke enthusiasts here at Sweetwater really appreciate.Tonewoods and Gretsch’s open-pore finish The Gretsch G9112 ukulele’s organically warm tone comes courtesy of its mahogany top, back, and sides. The mahogany neck and ovangkol fingerboard are an ideal combination for optimizing the transfer of energy from the strings to the body, for a deep and rich sound. And

This resonator uke was so quiet that I could barely hear it when I played. Playing with other players would be impossible without installing pickups or mic'ing up. Volume aside, it had a great tone that was noticeably different than my kala made of mahogany. If not for the volume issue, I'd have kept it for sure. Great action, great string spacing, smooth fret... loved that it cane with a gig bag. Just couldn't pay $320 for something I couldn't even hear.

I absolutely love this ukulele because it feels so friendly. I think it’s the shape of the neck or the wood they use. My husband thinks the sound is kind of tinny but I think that’s what a resonator does. It’s a real fun instrument to play and personally I like the sound.

Beautiful well-made Gretsch resonator concert sized ukulele. I love the sound and it’s easy to play. Pairs well with Chardonnay, ha ha!

Well made, looks great and plays very nicely. But, it's so quiet! My cheap ukulele with a standard sound hole is much louder than this. So, as much as I like this instrument, the lack of volume kind of defeats the whole point of buying a resonator.

Very nice made. Not as loud as expected. Wish the neck color matched the body

I bought this for my daughter. She had an old Uke and since I have a Gretsch (1965) Tennessean, I thought she might like it. She was shocked when it arrived and has hardly put it down...(neglecting house work?) . She is very pleased with the instrument. I have an old Dobro and I figured she would like this one....she does.

If you are looking for the next step in Ukeleles, then this is a good choice. Well constructed and the resonator gives it a nice warm tone. The strings stay in tune better than your beginner ukes. Good action and a nice fret board make this a great value.

Diseño brutal. La sonoridad ya la dirá él. Yo no entiendo demasiado. Pero es precioso.

Outstanding packaging by Chicago Music. They checked every aspect of the instrument and included the checklist. I love it and think Chicago Music did a great job in getting it ready.
