I didn't use this on the bike it called for. I like to find things that are custom. But it still worked very well.It was rigid and didn't move.It also locked the helmet with no problems.Loop it on the D-Rings, clip it, and walk away.I even clipped the keys ring through the lock and stuck the key inside the lock while riding. Then I could just twist to open, pull the key off, and then lock the helmet.

This looks good on the bike, but functionality is only mediocre. The key is really finicky to open it, and it feels very weak, like someone could open it with a screwdriver.

it's sturdy and rigid. key might not be on the top of unpickable list but it's a helmet lock, not safe. smooth lock/unlock

I purchased this lock with trepidation. The first thing I checked when it arrived was if I could get it to open with a flathead screwdriver as shown on one of the review videos. I could not get it to open. I believe this individual got a bad lock. Secondly, I didn't want the thickness of this lock to alter the suspension geometry. I have a 2021 street twin. I bought a single stainless m8 x 1.25 bolt and a washer and was able to mount this on the inside of the frame via the fenderwell. It was a piece of cake. The bolt is still outside of the plastic fender guard and the lock assembly fits snug against the outside of the fender. This setup also gives plenty of clearance between my helmet and the exhaust pipe. I am pleased with the setup. The bolt and washer cost me $2 at the overpriced Ace hardware. I am please with the result.

Just what I needed. My saddle bags blocked the stock lock. Took 5 minutes to install. Gonna need to et a longer bolt though because I put it on top of the rear shock and there aren't as many threads engaged as I'd prefer. The spacers included worked out great as well.Down side, the bar that locks is pretty cheap. I'm positive I could pry it open inless than 10 seconds with a screwdriver. That being said.... It's just meant to keep someone from snatching it because it's not locked up so it's good enough.

Finish quality wasn't perfect, had to touch up a bit of the paint work before installing. Other than that it looks good and is functional.

Installation was slighly difficult because you have to lift the bike a bit to align the shock with the hole on the frame. Overall, it's a good, simple design that does the job.

This lock is very similar in appearance to a product that is well over twice the price. I purchased the standard key locking unit in black to blend in with the frame. It appears to be well made. It was easy to install, and took less than 10 minutes. Using a M8 Hex, I removed the top shock bolt and loosened the bottom bolt slightly. I did not use a bike jack to take the weight off; I simply used the side stand and it only dropped about a half inch once I removed the bolt. Don't forget to use the two washers supplied. I had to lift the bike up manually to reattach everything and this took very little effort. It's a clean install on my 2023 Triumph Bonneville T120. The engraved branding really doesn't take away from the look of the helmet lock, and somewhat resembles the Triumph Union Jack logo (a 1/2 version). At this price point, and for the usefulness, I recommend the lock.
