Mounted to the side of my nightstand, this biometric gun safe is perfect. The fingerprint scanner is quick and reliable, and the safe is sturdy( atleast for the intent of keeping small hands out of it. Do not rely on this as a high level of security from any full size human with poor intent.)It’s compact, secure, and gives me peace of mind. Highly recommend!

First of all I was little skeptical reading some of the reviews but after purchasing and installing (15 minutes) I am completely satisfied. The build is excellent and plenty heavy duty to keep my grandkids from accessing my pistol. I personally think that all guns in your home should be kept locked away from kids, but that saying there is a need for quick access to a firearm in case of a break in. This safe is mounted to a nightstand next to my bed where my pistol is loaded and cocked and readily available. The biometric pad has all of my fingerprints and my wives (20) and I believe it will load up to 120 fingerprints. Personally I’ve had no issues with it not opening using the biometric reader but anything electronic will eventually have a glitch or fail so I open mine each night and leave it open until the next morning. That way I have a loaded and cocked gun within easy reach and no worries about the safe not opening when it’s critical. There is an LED light that comes on for a few seconds that illuminates the inside of the safe immediately upon opening. I could find nowhere indicating that the light was on a timer and wouldn’t stay on as long as the safe was open which would’ve defeated the option of leaving it open all night and draining the battery quickly but fortunately it times out in a few seconds. Remember this safe will not prevent someone from ripping it off your way or bedside table and stealing your gun while you’re away but it will keep your kids or in my case grandkids away from a loaded firearm and provide me with easy and quick access if the need arises. I personally see no downside to this safe.

Good for keeping it away from children, not insanely secure, anyone with a coat hanger can open it, however I mostly need it to keep out children and just keep it locked up near me. The response time on the fingerprints is fairly good more like a half second so not quite as advertised. changing codes took me a few tries but I got it eventually, installation is easy and quick took 20min. Put the same fingerprint multiple times and it'll work almost everytime, otherwise halfway decent buy

Whatever you do don’t buy the cheapest version I thought I would be okay, nope bought my own 9v battery, attempted to mount it on a stud in the wall, and I will say screwing the “thumb screws” is the most difficult thing out of this whole safe but latch dropped down 3 times before the whole thing just came out of the wall the screws are too small for the safe and and the finger scanner is not perfect you will be scanning your finger multiple times. Do not recommend it’s more worth it to buy a safe that’s actually gonna stay where you put it

Much more sturdy than I expected. Pretty well built, and very easy to set up if you just follow the directions. I like that you can mute it if you don't want it to beep when it opens. The LED lighting is a great feature, and my compact fits in it just fine, although you do have to kind of shove it in further than you'd think and find the sweet spot, depending on the handgun. Only negative I noticed is a few times it has unlocked but not dropped for some reason, but that's maybe 1/20 times so I'm not too worried about it. I unlock it again and it drops. Solid product.

Yes, the set up directions were obviously written by someone whose English is not their first language, BUT......, the directions were easy to follow. Go step by step, take your time and you will get it on the first "go round".The safe is very sturdy at about 11 pounds. The light stays on just long enough to see and retrieve your handgun in total darkness and then the light shuts off to save the battery. When I'm in the area of the gun safe, I leave it open. That much easier to retrieve in a crucial situation. When my grandchildren are visiting, I simply shut the drop down draw and the gun is "child proofed".The Gun safe holds much more fingerprints than you will ever use (120 prints).I have scanned my prints multiple times in various anglesThe fingerprint reader works marvelously, FIRST TIME, EVERY TIME, without having to fidget your finger around. When setting my fingerprint, the directions call for 4 placements of your finger. My first placement was straight forward. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th placement was from the right, the left and upper portion of my finger. The directions do not indicate doing this. It is my idea and it works. It works so well that I had to check using other fingers that I haven't set up yet, thinking any fingerprint will do. Nope...., only the prints you set up in the memory will open the safe, and quickly at that, virtually instantaneous.I will be purchasing another for a 2nd handgun location. There is room in the safe to hold a spare double stack magazine beside holding a loaded handgun. The safe currently holds my Glock .45 cal. ACP. Fits snugly in the foam with room to spare.ONE CAUTION....., Do NOT install the rubber bumper until you have installed the safe securely to the bracket. The bumper should be the final thing you do during installation. I installed the bumper beforehand and then attempted to mount the safe to the bracket. The bumper would not allow the drawer to drop downward far enough to get my hand in to install the 3 thumb screws from inside the safe to the bracket. Easy enough though. Two acorn nuts hold the bumper on. I removed the bumper, was able to get my hand in to fasten the safe with the 3 thumb screws to the secured bracket and then reinstalled the bumper. A wasted step that cost a whole 5 minutes, or less.I am retired Law Enforcement and have "carried" all of my adult life. This product has my full and complete endorsement. I was not expecting much because I was not paying much. I expected to be returning it and exchanging it for some other more expensive model, instead I'll be purchasing another.Definitely 5+ stars.I purchased another on 12/01/24.I’m still amazed as to how well and flawlessly it works. The installation was easier because I had installed one about a year ago and knew what to expect.Definitely 5+ stars.I have had no issue whatsoever with the first unit I purchased about a year ago, installed and use. I’ve only had to replace the 9 volt battery.I could understand why some people are complaining about this or that and I contribute that to a poorly translated user manual and instructions.I hope they take that into consideration and hire an american valedictorian High School senior to rewrite their manual and “program set up” instructions. I would be happy with a “top of the class” 9th grader. You will not be disappointed with this heavy duty, biometric gun safe.If for some reason you are having set up problems, it’s definitely the fault of a poorly translated manual and/or, the “program set up” instructions.
