USER PASSWORD: Please test the lock firstly for safe installation, please connect all the parts accordingly otherwise the lock will not work. Factory preset code is 1 - 5 - 9 - # and should be changed before using the safe lock.
HOW TO SET CODE: Press the red button and then release it; you will hear a beep. A yellow light on the panel and stay on for a period of time, you need to enter the code while the yellow light is illuminated. Enter your 3 - 8 digit code and confirm your code by pressing the * symbol on the keypad. After confirmation, you will hear two beeps with yellow light.
UNLOCKING METHOD: After completing the new user code, enter the password you set and press "#" key to confirm. Buzzer will beep once and the green light will stay on. If you enter the wrong password 3 consecutive times, the keypad will be automatically locked for about 15 minutes.
SILENCING KEYPAD: You can turn off the “Beep” sound of the keypad by entering the code *- 6 - 3 - 3. To turn the “Beep” sound on, enter the code *- 6 - 6.
REMINDER: This lock operates one V9 ALKALINE battery and when the battery is at low voltage the red light is on to remind the user to replace the battery in time.
In the event that you want to access your safe but do not know your password, or if the keypad is dead or out of battery, please open the panel counterclockwise and use the emergency key to access your safe. Keeping in mind that each pair of keys is unique, you will be unable to open another safe with the same pair of keys.

It wears a replacement and actually an upgrade for one of my safes. The original only lasted a couple of years and one other the mother boards failed. I hope I have better results with this replacement. Easy to install installation instructions as well. I would by it again if it lasts a decent amount of time.

I have a 25 year old safe with a digital pad whose time had come. To get an exact replacement would have cost me a bomb because only the safe manufacturer's local distributor has it and they insist on an on-site visit to replace the keypad. No, the keypad is nowhere to be found on the Internet. Believe me, I searched.I took a good look at this keypad and its parts and cable and decided that its worth the gamble to see if it will install on my old safe. The only problem I had was carefully squeezing the supplied keypad cable plug through the safe's existing cable slot. It was tight!The only other work I had to do was to drill 2 new holes into the outer door to screw on the keypad's baseplate. I retained the old magnetic solenoid lock, whose plug fit perfectly into the new control board.Works like a charm!
