This meat grinder is built of solid sturdy metal. It works great for turning stew beef into hamburger meat or making chopped liver this works like a champ. It is versatile as it has many attachment so it can be used in vegetables and cheese. The only drawback is it is too large to fit between the ledge and wall cabinets.

This amazing manual meat grinder and rotary grater is extremely sturdy and durable. All of the most important essential parts are made of thick, sturdy metal. The base and some of the less important parts are plastic, though. The design reminds me of the old-fashioned grinders that used to be made with ceramic bases and metal parts. Nowadays that ceramic is replaced by plastic, sadly.Apart from that, this machine is built to withstand lots of tough use. The meat grinder is a beast and the extrusion discs are really thick and sturdy. Even though it is hand-crank and not electric, the sharp blades make quick work of even tough cuts of meat and make a pile of usable ground beef, pork, or turkey in no time. Or I can add one of the sausage tubes to make my own brats, Italian sausages, or savory sausages. The meat grinder components and the rotary components are easy to exchange off the suction cup base. The rotary grater has a large funnel on top so I can push in a lot of cheese or cabbage or carrots or any other veggies I wish to mince, grate, or slice. The rotary blades snap in and stay put so I don’t have to worry about them coming out during use. This machine has a beautiful design, is very well-made from high-quality materials, and will likely last my lifetime. The fact that I can use it without the need for electricity also puts it in the survival / grid-down category, which gives me peace of mind.

We had a manual meat grinder that worked fine until it’s broken. We used it for two years but only for light duties. This meat grinder is similar to the one that we had. It is easy to put together, and it comes with all sorts of accessories that can shred cheese as well as vegetables. My son is usually the one that does the cranking and my daughter is the meat feeder, and I would pack all the meat in Ziploc bags and freeze them. It works well but not for heavy jobs. We would grinder maximum 20 pounds of meat each time. I hope this one lasts

This is ideal for someone who processes a deer once or twice a year. If I needed a meat grinder on a more frequent basis, I would probably pick something else. The suction cup on this is a bit frustrating - you almost need a hand to stabilize it, which means you need 3 hands to operate this (one to crank, one to stabilize, one to feed the meat). The blades and meat tray are stainless steel, but the crank and base are plastic. I'm a bit concerned about the durability of the plastic crank.I do like the accessories - it comes with all the blades you would need. However, it presents a bit of a challenge for storage - there is no case for it, and it's difficult cramming all the accessories back into the original box.
