When this is snugged down on the steam valve as it should be, it raises the valve up just enough that it will not build steam. I’ve tried it three times. I just stick it on top now just to get the steam to blow away from my cabinets. I will probably look for a different one.

I hate when the Ninja spews steam all over my cupboards and this thing is great for keeping my vent valve open to quick release. Sometimes the vent gets stuck and I had to manually press the pin to release the pressure.

The only thing I dislike about this is that it doesn't affix itself to anything. If you're not holding it when you release the pressure on the instant pot it WILL go flying.
