I got another usb to 3.55 recently, have had this for about a year and a half and though it still works... The sound quality comparitively speaking to the new one I got is just bad. This is definitely not worth the money when a 2 pack for 2 dollars more from another company has better quality. Save your money.

I would rate it a 5 , but its a big device sticking out of the side of my laptop. If you move your laptop a lot you better remove it before you hit somthing with it and brake your laptop USB jack. If you never move your laptop than its great, go for it!

I got this for my PS5 so that I could switch between the monitor speakers and my Bluetooth earbuds. Especially useful for PS Portal play, as the Portal doesn't have Bluetooth.I simply plugged this into my PS5 and hooked up a 3.5mm to Bluetooth Transmitter to it. Voila.

This tiny metal sound card is great. No need for drivers, plug and play with Windows and Linux (I assume Mac as well, but haven't tried myself).It has a way lower noise floor than other USB sound cards I've used. No static, hum, anything. I am not sure if it's the metal casing, or just a good quality card, but I'm impressed. It's very good, especially for the price.

Update: This works well for audio output, but not for microphone which I'll need to buy separately. Still great!My desktop is pretty old, and still had old school audio ports on the back, that worked with older set of speakers. (speaker set has a transmitter that sent audio to speakers several feet behind me, and everything was already set up just the way I liked it). A windows system update rendered this old school audio jack non-functional. After jumping through some a ton of hoops about what it might take to get sound back (Driver updates--nonexistent! Soundcard replacement-headache/expensive!. Replacement speakers-NOO! I like mine just the way they are, et al), I remembered reading somewhere that adapters often can solve the problem with little expense and fuss.Plugged this in to the USB port in back of the tower, desktop did something automatically, and BOOM! I have my sound back. Glad I bought this. A+

I was gifted an old Dell Inspiron 15 which I breathed new life into with an SSD and 16gb of ram from Crucial.After a while the headphone jack started to cut out, so I got this, and it works really well.It does take up a usb 2.0 port and sticks out of the machine a bit, but it sounds great and lets me (once again) use headphones.

I honestly do not know if there is some kind of built in amplifier or what, but the sound quality from using this adapter exceeds the performance I was getting from the 1/8 inch mic/headphone socket. It was working OK, but the volume was kind of low. After switching to the USB port, it sounded better to me and others told me my voice was much louder and clearer. I thought the trouble was originally my headset, but luckily this adapter fixed it. I have recorded some voice over work, done some podcasts and use it for online gaming. It works fine and I highly recommend this great little device.

Omg this little device is very handy! Even for custombuilt pcs where there would be seperate audio jacks fo sound and microphone. The adpater makes sound even clearer and better, very handy for gamers, plug and play, no need for any setup.
