This thumb rest works fine, but doesn't fit as well as the (highly expensive metal) Leica version - and similarly doesn't feel as nice. But given the cost is an acceptable compromise. I'm left feeling, however, that it would have been better to have accepted Leica's price and know the thumb rest is as beautiful as the camera.

Questo thumb è un ottimo prodotto e lo consiglio per aumentare la presa, si adatta meccanicamente e esteticamente alla mia Leica. Unico problema, non riferibile a questo ottimo prodotto ma in generale a tutti i thumb in commercio, è che se portiamo la macchina a tracolla il thumb sporgerà inevitabilmente sul nostro fianco o sulla pancia e a lungo andare questo può infastidire, soprattutto nei mesi caldi dove portiamo pochi indumenti.

Die Daumenhalterung passt perfekt an die Leica M 240 und gibt sicheren Halt beim Fotografieren ohne Kameratrageriemen. Sieht klasse aus, ist aus hochwertigem Material und mit einer Beschichtung versehen, um die Kamera an den Auflageflächen zu schützen. Die Markung ist von unten angebracht, sodass sie im Blitzschuh verschwindet und keine Aufmerksamkeit beansprucht. Der Einschubkontakt für den EVF wird staubsicher abgedeckt. Das Teil erleichtert die Handhabung der Kamera erheblich und ist absolut ein Gewinn - ergonomisch und optisch; bin begeistert.

Honestly, very surprised at how tight this actually fit. The oem hot shoe cap glides in and out seamlessly. I had to pry this out with a nickel (thankfully it has a groove up top) and I wouldn't be surprised if I damaged my rangefinder. Leica M Type 262.

Today I received the item, and I mounted it on my Leica 240 , but it was quite tight to mount. I ordered the Haoge because I have one on my other Leica CL and it was great and not tight! This new one cannot be removed now, so that I can use a flash on the hot shoe when I need to! It appears that I will only be able to remove it by conrtacting a fine machinist who has the proper tools to carefully, without damaging my Leica camera, remove this extremely tight thumb grip.Believe me I tried to remove it myself but feared that I might damage my $3900 camera! I must say that I am very disappointed because I can't remove it myself and can't even return the item. Hopefully someone has another solution without damaging the camera!

It really cannot be overstated how much this grip improves the ergonomics of the camera body. The fit and finish is top-notch and looks right at home atop my 240. The only thing I could possibly see as an improvement on this grip would be to somehow allow for EVF mounting while the grip was still installed...a tall order and one that would no doubt add quite a bit to the cost of the product. That considered, this thing is a steal at its price-point and a true must-buy for any 240 owner!

Excellent build quality. Fits on my M240 perfectly. Much much better option to the $100+ thumby from Leica!
