We needed something for fitted hats. Most that have hooks are too close together to fit the hats. We didn’t want anything complicated that took more than a second or two to put things away. Item as described. We aren’t using the hanging clips at present. The shelves are a perfect fit for folding hats and storing as seen in the stock images. The side “hooks” don’t really work well for hanging adjustable hats, though.

Truly organized my husbands closet storage area! We chose not to use the hooks which was simple. Perfect for easy and quick access to his hats.

I have an insane number of hats; some women have shoes, but I have hats. The biggest problem with liking hats is where to put all the ones you aren't wearing that day. I've tried bins, bags, drawers, thrown in the closet out of frustration; you name it, I've probably tried it.Most of my hats are the ballcap style but some don't have the hard bill so the slotted acrylic holders weren't the complete solution. Plus, acrylic looks cheap.I chose this hat holder because it offers a row of clips for the hats that won't fit well with the ballcaps.Pros-It holds a large number of ballcaps in the two individual racks. For some reason I thought the ballcap racks had individual dividers to hold each cap; they don't. However, the width of the rack holds the caps, you just need to collapse the back of the hat in on itself and you can fit a large number of hats on each rack.-The clips have been a good solution for the rest of the hats that needed a different approach.-With each shelf being an individual unit I can put it in an area that wouldn't accommodate it if it had been one solid unit.Cons-The clips for the hats are small so some hats are too thick to use the clips, but it does work with most.-A padding on the clip where it holds the hat would be nice. I know it needs to have a strong hold but the metal does leave a mark on some hats.-A few more clips, and at different lengths would be a nice addition to fit even more hats onto the rack. It would even be nice to offer the option of both racks having a clip section.-Having at least one of the racks with individual bill slots to hold the ballcaps would be nice for larger caps or ones you don't want to be smooshed.ConclusionThis is a viable solution for how and where to keep all your hats. I like the solution for the hats with no bills and that I can arrange the racks as needed rather than having them be one unit. I will see if I can find a way to add an additional clip section to the other rack plus a few more clips. I could buy another whole unit and repurpose the ballcap-only rack but I'll try the other option first.I do recommend this hat storage because it is sturdy and offers so many options for various styles of hats. Even though the cons section looks bigger than the pro section, I am happy with this solution for all my hats!

Works great for my small space. Make sure you look at what you are hanging first since the two shelves are not interchangabke with the hanging hooks!
