It’s been several years since I’ve needed an incubator but my tortoises decided to change that quite suddenly! I ordered this in a pinch and have to say that it looks great, super simple to set up and program, and holds humidity very well. As with other reviews, it unfortunately does not hold consistent temp. I have it in a closet to stabilize as much as possible, but it still fluctuates a good 4-5F throughout the day with no discernible change in temp within the room. I ended up setting up a secondary thermostat to control it. All in all, if you’re looking for a “pretty” unit, this works, but I recommend just getting a Hovabator or something similar. It is also extremely easy to build one out of an old mini fridge. Look it up on YouTube if you have time to put it together before your eggs arrive.

Have not used yet but it looks and feels like a real quality incubator. Very large in size and able to hold more than I need.

This incubator is straight garbage. I read mixed reviews on it before purchasing, and obviously should have focused more on the negatives. We have now had it for two months. We let it run for about 2-3 weeks as a test and prep prior to putting a clutch of ball python eggs in. After about 2 more weeks, the light stopped working. A week or so later it began beeping continuously. No matter what we do. It WILL NOT STOP. The temperature won't stay within a decent range for more than a few minutes now. The fan will run for about 3-5 seconds at a time. I tried cleaning it, making sure there was no condensation left from the humidity, I used canned air and blew through the fan, we tried adjusting the temp, also with no positive results. We have tried everything we could multiple times, but nothing will work. We can unplug it for a bit, and when it's plugged back it, it immediately starts beeping again. Occasionally, it may stop for 1-2 seconds, then continues to beep. Now we're down an incubator, over $100, and possibly a whole clutch of ball python eggs. We are still holding out hope for them since we had to rig up a spur of the moment incubator for them.

I have had nearly a 100% hatch rate using this thing in a room that is normal 64-68 with low humidity being as I live in Colorado. I hatch crested geckos. There is a lot of conterversy out there when it comes to hatching this particular species of gecko in inculators but I have to say this little mechine is perfect, exp when your home environment isnt ideal for hatching traditionally. One thing I will say is tjat you want to invest in a temp and humindity probe to sit in there to ensure accuracy. I did have trouble dialing it in the first time but after useing my probes it worked flawlessly. Holds temps and humity very well.

I was really excited when I got this incubator, but that feeling didn't last long. To start, it only reads F°, which is annoying, but I can deal. I just wish that was the only problem I encountered. Next, it leaks water everywhere! And I don't poor water in the incubator, the water is in my egg substrate, it's condensation on the sides of the incubator that's leaking. But again, I can deal with this. The real issue, the unfixable problem, IS THE TEMPERATURE! This thing doesn't hold a set temperature no matter what I do. I've lost eggs, I've had babies not absorb their yolk, my hatching dates are all over the place! This has been a nightmare! If you breed reptiles, you know how important stable temps are. This thing it's awful!!!!

The unit holds temperature well, but you need to verify the temperature reading with a calibrated thermometer to know what the offset on the display is. My unit has about a 1 degree C offset (reads higher than actual temperature). However, I keep a calibrated thermometer in the unit and the unit holds to that temperature very well.I use the unit for hatching snake eggs. It works very well for that purpose. It's roomy enough to hold several clutches simultaneously. Maintains temperature well, irregardless of load (i.e. number of eggs/containers). Overall, very pleased with the purchase.

So far been using for a few months. Works good and holds a steady temperature. Getting a second digital thermometer to sit next to your eggs is a must. I have one on each shelf and find the top shelf to be a degree warmer then the bottom one. I also find the entire unit will be a few degrees off from what you set it at but will hold that temperature pretty steady. It's only in Celsius but that wasn't a problem for me. It has a nice tray at the bottom you can add water to for humidity. Only issue I've found is the heat that's lost when you open the door to add water. But that's why you use a medium around your temperature critical eggs to help hold heat. I use this for leopard geckos.

Heats up well the racks aren't small enough for gecko eggs but I wasn't planning on leaving them on the rack in the open anyways so if you plan on buying this for gecko eggs make sure to find proper holding tubs. Held heat good you don't hear this thing running at all. Wish it would be switched to Fahrenheit so you have to convert it yourself holds heat for a good time even after unplugged so in case of power failure you should be ok for awhile
