Automatic sleep function
Dual Bay HDD Dock automatic sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity to lower power consumption, prevents overheating and conserves energy.
Fast Transmission with USB 3.0 and USAP
Besides USB 3.0 super speed, hard drive dock support transfer speeds up to 6Gbps by UASP transfer protocol, which is up to 20% faster than USB 3.0.
The following conditions need to be met to achieve UASP acceleration.
- The computer device itself supports UASP.
- The computer system must be Win 8, 10 or Mac OS 8 & 9 or higher.
- External devices such as external hard drive enclosures must support the UASP transfer protocol.
Note:
- The offline clone function cannot be processed if there are bad sectors or tracks on the hard disk.
- Do not try to remove your HDD or SSD device while it is active. Please power off the docking station before removing it.
- Please backup files in the target hard drive before cloning. Any files in the target hard drive will be overwritten when offline cloning occurs.
- If you are mounting a drive which larger than 2TB, please initialize with Partition Style GPT.
- Please make sure to connect the hard drive enclosure to the USB 3.0 port of the computer to achieve the best transmission speed.
- IDE drives are NOT supported.
FAQ: HDD is not recognized by the Computer
- New or old HDD may not be initialized or formatted(if there is data on the hard drive, please backup it in advance).
- There is unallocated space on the hard drive.

My old editing computer died and I was afraid I would be unable to retrieve the projects on my Sata hard drives. My new editing computer does not have the docks. This device arrived today. I tried it out with the drive that held many of our family videos which had been transferred from VHS tapes. It works!

Very slow unless you manually enable "Write Caching" on each disc that you install, each time you use the device.I almost returned this because it was so slow. I realized that Windows shuts off "Write Caching" on this USB external drive as a safety mechanism to prevent accidental power loss.But if you go into your Windows Control Panel and click on the drive properties and you can "enable" "Write Caching" and also make sure all the boxes that offer "Disk Caching" are enabled.Once you do that, the drive is at least 500% faster, both reading and writing.When you enable "Write Caching" it also enables the read caching, although I'm not sure why.Reading and writing without changing the Windows settings will result in super low speed, basically non-functional speeds.Note, if you are using an SSD, you do not need to enable the "Write Caching" because it works fine out of the box, and does about 60MBps on USB 3.0.

Work well, easy to use; plug and play. Sturdy build and heavy enough so two HDDs don't tip it over. But I keep mine on the floor so the HDDs won't freeze if knocked off my desk. Been there, done that, lost 1GB of photos. Useing cloud backup now and wish I had spent the few bucks before the crash..Have a readout showing % full the drives are. Handy extra!

I bought this RSHTECH Hard Drive Dock, Aluminum USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay External Hard Drive Docking Station a few months ago and I'm very happy with it. It's easy to use, just plug and play, no drivers or software needed. It works with both 2.5 and 3.5 inch SATA HDDs and SSDs, and supports up to 16TB of storage capacity. The aluminum casing is sturdy and sleek.It's very fast and reliable, and it saves me a lot of time and hassle when I need to backup or upgrade my hard drives. The SD/TF card reader is also a nice , as I can transfer files from my camera or phone easily.Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a convenient and versatile hard drive docking station. It's well worth the price and it has exceeded my expectations.

It started out great. It did what it was supposed to do. I backed up my important data to Drive A and then added an additional drive for cloning. I ran the clone job and it created an exact clone of Drive A to B. Windows could not tell them apart. I did 3 clone operations over the course of the 32 days that I had the product. Most of the time, when it was not in use, I turned it off. So it wasn't on very much. Today on third clone operation, it died at some point. The hard drive dock no longer powers on. It seems that it was doing fine for basic reading and writing from the OS but the clone operation was too intense for it.

Well constructed piece of kit that does the job neatly. I used it to close a 3.5" HDD onto a new 2.5" SSD. It did the job flawlessly, so that after substituting the new drive I was able to pick up immediately where I'd left off previously with the old HDD, without being able to tell that anything had changed (apart from the blisteringly fast speed of the SSD compared to the HDD, obviously!). The very first boot-up after swapping the drive needed a short and easy (even from a non-specialist like me) excursion into the BIOS options which was easy to intuit what to do, and then after that it was business as usual.This piece of kit made cloning my HDD onto the new SSD a breeze. The instructions are written in slightly clumsy English (obviously some use of a dictionary by someone who speaks rudimentary English or possibly used Google Translate) but they're reasonably easy to work out. The cloning process is straightforward and automatic - the one-touch button works as advertised. It took around 2 hours to clone a 1TB HDD onto the SSD. I don't know why it takes so long, but I left it chugging away, came back a couple of times to check up - and thanks to the 4 5-tracking LEDs I could see that it was getting somewhere - and simply removed the drives when finished. There's no specific indicator to show that the cloning has finished other than the "100%" LED being on without flashing, and it would be good to have a small LCD screen that could show brief instruction messages such as "Cloning completed successfully: remove drives" etc.The item seems solid and well-made. I would prefer the on-off button and the one-touch cloning button to be on the front or the top of the unit, and also to be more visible (different colours to the main boy and to each other, for example) - they're hidden at the back on the same side as the power cord socket. I'd also prefer for the lettering identifying them to be easier to read - it's impressed into the plastic of the casing but could be in-filled with white to make it more legible - but those are minor issues.

impossible de faire dual boot un seul disque est reconnu. ce produit ne vaut pas la peine. Car J'ouvre ma boite aux lettres vers minuit le temps de contrôler le produit il est zéro heure dépassée et Amazon me fait savoir que je dois faire le retour avant le 29 septembre or je découvre le défaut sur le produit le 29 Septembre à 00:15. Lisez bien les commentaires négatifs avant de vous lancer sur l'achat des produits. ARNAQUE !!!!!!
