I cannot recommend this net enough. It is a different texture than most haynets; almost like a silk. It is much easier on my horses' teeth which I am grateful for. It also holds a ton of hay. I can fit almost an entire 50-60 lb small bale in it. I also love how easy it is to fill, no more stuffing hay nets!! It makes my winter chores so much easier.

I have been using this hay net for the past year now (ordered 1 year ago to the day), and it has no rips, tears or holes. My mare is not an aggressive eater but she does rub her head/face on it daily and it has held up well. Easy to fill with several flakes of hay, no problem! My net is in an open air barn and does occasionally get wet from blowing rain. It has held up fine (even thru the hurricane last year!). Highly recommend this net, will definitely purchase in the future if I ever need to!

Super easy to use with the open top and it fits a whole 50lb bale which is nice. The ties to hold the top together could have been done better they broke pretty quickly but I just replaced it with some twine.

I love the size. I can fit a whole square bale in and it’s easy to load. Simply slide the net over, clips the twine, and tie it off. Within 2 weeks, the ties broke. We used bailing twine to tie it off. In 2.5 weeks, the whole side had torn off. I used cable ties to close it. (I didn’t want to bring it in to restitch it.).

I've used these hay nets for about a year and while I know they can't last forever, the most recent one I purchased seems to have been made far more shoddily than past hay nets. Within two days it was falling apart. It had been secured and filled exactly like the previous ones I purchased and used with the same horses. It simply fell apart, stitching came loose, and not just in one spot. (If I hadn't sent the previous one to the dump I would have dug it out of the trash as it was in better shape than this one!) I'm going to try to return it and so we'll see how the manufacturer handles this!

These are perfect!! Light weight but Very strong and sturdyI have 2 big horses, my 26 year old is 1/2 Percheron 1/2 Thoroughbred, and my baby is a 9 month old 1/2 Gypsy Vanner 1/2 Percheron, we live in Washington state at the ocean and it has been very, very wet here, between the rain storms and the snow the pasture is a shin deep mud pit which makes it difficult to haul hay out to the horses shelter, these slow feeders have been a life saver, not only do I have to haul hay out to them once every 2 1/2-3 days (I split one bale between both bags each fill up, and I do grain them in their shelter 2X’s a day still) but they keep their hay off the ground and there is almost NO waste (see pictures 4 and 5, just crumbs and dust on the ground) by having hay available to them 24/7 they spend less time standing out in the mud and they help to simulate the natural grazing that horses need. I have only been using these for about 3 weeks but they are made well, hold up well to the horses and best yet they do not tear up their lips like the plastic net hay feeders, I have highly recommend these other horse friends out here in Washington and will get a couple more to keep in my horse trailer

This net works perfectly for holding a full average sized 50lb square bale. We built a box with two metal rings in diagonal corners and use a heavy duty metal carabiner clip to secure the bale down on both ends. It's the smallest holes I could find, probably a bit over 1" - my small lady hand for reference.Been using it for about a month now- my two horses have access to it 24/7 and they manage to power through an entire square bale in a matter of hours, even with the tiny openings. So far, the net has no holes, no issues, and the two horses are a bit grabby at it and do bite and pull on it a bit.One thing- if you're using it where the horses can access the opening part, the little strings it comes with aren't super hardy and they leave big gaps. The horses were just flipping the bag over and pulling the hay out of the bigger openings. I laced hay string through the opening and that did the trick. Problem solved with free haystring!

the support ties are thin and short. With longer ones, I would be able to support the weight of an entire bale of hay better. Goats jump up on it with their front hooves to browse so it's not just the bale that needs support, but them and their jerking on it to pull the hay out through the small holes. But otherwise, works great--I don't expect it to last the winter before they rip it. .
