Have tried many different fan clutches and this is by far the most efficient and responsive fan clutch yet. 5 stars for a Great product. Keeps my turbo silverado at bay with the oe fan and upgraded all aluminum radiator. Unlocks around 2800 rpm and allows me to rev to 6k without over spinning the fan

stays engaged too much, noisy like a big truck. This fan clutch has been disappointing sofar, it stays engaged too much for too many RPMs. its loud. I'm hoping it may "break in" and calm down a bit, but not much sofar. I'll give it a little more time but must have about 3000 miles on it and even in the cold of winter here in Minnesota, it doesn't slip enough, stays engaged too much.

I have a commercial truck with a 6.0 LS that sounded like a jet plane.I couldn't take it anymore, so found this clutch. I'll get a little lockup once in a while, but I'd say it's 80%-90% quieter. No noticeable difference in operating temps.

Perfect Fit. Easy install. Now my AC works good at idle. A little louder than the old one but that's mainly because it is new and more efficient.FYI:Make sure to lock the pulley in place with a clamp and grab a pipe wrench yes a big pipe wrench. Most people don't have that big of an opened end wrench to fit the clutch nut. The pipe wrench works perfectly. Once its on just give it a couple of taps with a hammer and is will break free relatively easy as long as you have one or two of the serpentine belt pullies clamped to keep it from moving. Good Luck!!

This seems to be a quality american made product. It had a cast marking indicating that is made in the USA. The casting is of good quality and it appears to function just fine.Yes, it is loud when you throttle up from sitting still. That's what it's suppose to do. It sucks a lot of air through the front grille. It gets quieter after it cools everything down. At highway speeds, it doesn't need to work as hard and isn't even noticeable to myself. Don't be surprised if your fuel mileage goes up or down (depends on what was wrong with your last fan clutch really). For the price, I think this a good quality part.I will say be careful when threading it onto your water pump (I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 4.8L 2WD). The nut on the fan clutch is a softer steel that the water pump and will easily cross thread if you aren't paying attention. If you are having trouble removing your old fan clutch. Try using a long flat head screwdriver and hammer to tap the nut counter clockwise. An air hammer should work pretty good too. It might take a minute to tap it loose but it should work. I just used a breaker bar (on the crankshaft) and channel lock pliers (on the fan clutch nut) to tighten it back down. The fan spins clockwise so you shouldn't have to worry about the fan clutch coming loose. Probably wouldn't hurt to apply some anti-seize to the threads on the water pump when reinstalling. Generally speaking, it's a good idea to replace the fan clutch anytime you are replacing the water pump.
