A heater core is a radiator-like device used in heating the cabin of a vehicle. Hot coolant from the vehicle's engine is passed through a winding tube of the core, a heat exchanger between coolant and cabin air. Fins attached to the core tubes serve to increase surface for heat transfer to air that is forced past them, by a fan, thereby heating the passenger compartment.

The part functions as it should, however there was no hole Between the hose inlets So I had to drill one.

I installed this just before winter. Right after installation I noticed a heavy metallic smell from it. Others noted the same. Three months later, I have coolant on my floor mats again. Planning to buy a quality part and do the job again :(

Ordered this for about 65 less then the cheapest one at a local parts store. If you can wait a few days for shipping this is the way to go. Install was easy and it was almost identical to the original with only different colored plastic. Heat is hotter then ever and it doesn't leak.
