Purchased for my 12 year old son. Read the instructions. Once I corrected my errors (unit was upside down by instructions) We tested the unit, but the extension cord was too long, so the unit did not pitch correctly (States in instructions -size of cord - mine was too long). New extension cord - dry temperatures and the unit pitched perfectly. It holds 12 lite balls. We also pitched a batting cage. Together it works nicely.

I bought this for my 12u baseball player and my 8u softball player. We got the balls recommended by the makers and it works great on lower speeds but when turned up to the max the ball feeder continues to fall backwards and stops feeding the balls in. We hold it or my husband feeds the balls in the machine. Overall it was a good buy for what we were willing to spend. I would recommend this if you aren't wanting to spend 100s of dollars.

When used with the heater white balls this is a great buy! The other balls are junk, either too light and float like a wiffel ball, or too foamy and no good for hitting. The accuracy is awsome, but 1 must is adding a 25lb weight or sandbag to the base of the tripod. Do this and it is a solid machine. Use it for batting cage, fly ball practice, and just pitching on the diamond with a group of kids. Also recommend use with a ryobi 40v, 300w inverter and 40v battery. You can take it anywhere and it will run for 90min on 1 ryobi 40v 6ah battery.

Have not been able to use this yet because the ball feeder can’t mount on top of the machine because the cutouts don’t match. The tripod legs aren’t very good. Very unstable.

Easy set upNot accurate at all with all types of balls including recommended ballsWheel is made of plastic and foam. Foam will rip apart after 25 pitches massive vibration after that it gets super noisy Lite ball use only. A good fun toy Not to be used as something to train on.Every pitch the machines lifts with provided steaks making it difficult to pitch consistently. Consistently adjusting machine so that it won’t hit your batter.Machine is good to train on getting out of batters box. Trains eye to see an oncoming ball that may bean you.

Just assembled and fired up this machine for the first time and am very, very pleased. I have not found the issues of inconsistent location to be a problem thus far. Granted its the first time of the first day. From what I can tell, the issue might be caused by feeding the balls too fast. This machine is powered by one enclosed wheel and its not large. But that's a good thing over all. It folds up and will store nicely. On the "negative" side, the wheel slows down a bit after a pitch and needs a few seconds to get up to speed again when it will throw a nice pitch like the one before. This is where the ball feeder comes in nicely. The way the feeder works is it uses the vibration of the power in the machine to shimmy the ball down. The time it takes to do this just so happens to coincide with the time it takes the wheel to get back up to speed. So it really is a good idea to get both. If not, you just have to wait about 5 seconds between pitches. Now, no, this is not a machine with the two yellow wheels we used in high school. Those cost over $1,000 and you would need something like that if you had 15 kids taking swings and a time limit. But if its just you and a few kids, you really can be confident picking this one up in my opinion. See videos below of it in action.
