I started out getting the single-sensor door chime version of this for the store I was running. I loved it! I installed another when I took over a different store. By my third store, it wasn't available, but there was a 2-sensor-plus-doorbell version--this was fantastic, because the front door chimed when opened, and when a shipment arrived to the back door, our truck drivers were able to ring the doorbell for us, and with a single "ding" to distinguish it from the customers' chime "ding-dong." I could have used just the one sensor out of the package if I wanted, but now I had options. To this point, I'd have given maybe a 4-1/2 star rating (multiple doorbells might have been nice, rather than multiple sensors--only one door opens from the outside for customers, but multiple others get knocked on by associates and are difficult to hear without a doorbell; maybe 2 and 2).I just happily bought my fourth set (another 2-sensors-plus-doorbell set) for my first week running a new store...and apparently the cost-cutting on the manufacturing end has gotten slightly out of hand. No longer can one simply open a small door on the back to change the chime, while screwing it safely shut to keep it from inadvertently being changed; a button on the side can be easily bumped by mistake. Also, the instruction booklet still says the doorbell works with just one "ding" (now using jumpers instead of marked switches on the circuitboard inside), but doesn't do a good job of explaining that difference, and gives NO pictures (neither does their website). I had to google what a "jumper" was and call the tech support hotline.Luckily, Heath Zenith's tech support was perfectly knowledgeable about the issue and could explain exactly what to look for and where in the package it could be found, with no language barrier. My suggestion now would be to update their instruction booklet with pictures, and/or provide more in-depth tech support pictures and video online and list clearly in the booklet/on the package where it can be found. I'm fairly tech-savvy, and if I had to start searching and then call the hotline--and the tech immediately recognized what the problem was--this has got to be a more "frequently"-asked question than they're giving it credit for. Maybe back up to 4-1/2 stars, but Amazon doesn't allow half-stars (where can I leave a review on that?).

I use the two sensors to chime when one of my two outside gates are opened. I use a one "ding" sound for these two sensors. I set up the door bell to have a "ding-dong" sound so I can differentiate between the doorbell and the gate sensors. Setup was easy. Unlike some other reviews, there was no distance issues. I think the furthest sensor is 50 feet from the main receiver.

Has worked flawlessly in our office for the past three months. The magnet isn't exactly where the arrows are on the sensor, you have to find those by trial and error prior to installation. That is where I believe some of the bad reviews would stem from, intermittent contact to the magnets because the magnets aren't lined up when installed. There are limited options for the chime, but the "Westminster Abbey" chime is fine. Distance between sensor and annunciator is about 25 feet (through two walls and an old bank vault in between).

Works really well as in our office. We have a back door and a front door so it is nice to know which door someone is entering. However, you must line them up correctly or they will not work properly. I have to disagree with some of the other reviews that say it does not have the rage. I have one unit on a back door and it is at least 25 feet away. The other unit is about the same distance.I use the chimes so I know who is at which door and they work very well. The instructions are clear on how to set the chimes and I have had it over six months with no problems.

We bought this for our office and it works great. I like that you can change the tone for different doors.

These work well if you have a door that swings inwards. Our door swung outwards but this is on a building so that was outside. We had a bit of trouble in the commercial use of this product because our doors swing outwards. You will also need more tape. I ended up using all the tape on one chime. We placed one chime on the inside of the door towards its hinges and it worked well in that spot. Although, it is meant for the top of the door. Overall a good product!

The range on this is only about 20 feet. This defeats the entire purpose of a wireless door annunciation product when the transmitter and receiver have to be nearly side by side to work. I want to be alerted in my bedroom at one end of my average size three bedroom house whenever someone enters from the garage area. It is about 50 ft distance with 2 sheetrock walls between. The door would never alert with the receiver placed in the bedroom. I moved the receiver to a location in the hallway about 30 feet from the entry door transmitter with only one wall between them. It would alert about 40% of the time - certainly not helpful!I thought maybe the battery that came with the transmitter might be weak, so I spent $4 on another of these special batteries. It did not help.I finally moved the receiver to the family room directly in sight of the transmitter. Yep, it works - except that I cannot hear it back in the bedroom which was the whole purpose of the purchase. In conclusion, I could only recommend this product if you live in a small studio or one bedroom apartment.
