We have a fireplace that has a battery backup for power outages. The first time we tried to use it in that circumstance, we discovered the original one was warped and didn't work. This was a perfect replacement, and plugged right in and worked when we tested it.

The battery pack worked, but information about performance would be useful, such as how long batteries will support the ignition of fireplace?

Bought this to replace a corroded unit. Only downside is that the batteries are difficult to put in.

My home is 15 years old and when the power goes out, we can have the fireplace work due to battery backup igniter. However, our battery backup pack (it uses 2 D batteries) was broken recently. The contact spring was broken, so I needed a replacement, and this item works perfectly. The contact wires are the same as Heatilator ones. So it was easy installation. Recommended!
