Tired of your "Brand X" advertised 2000F header wrap becoming brittle and falling apart, then look no further than Their Inferno Header Wrap to solve the problem. Unlike fiberglass and basalt exhaust wraps (which should have an advertised operating temperature of 1200F); Their header wrap is made from silica filament yarn this makes this header wrap strong and flexible while operating at its designed operating temperature of 2000F continuous and 3000F intermittent. Inferno header wrap will sustain the extreme temperatures that your glowing pipes from turbo, down pipe, header, manifold or racing applications require. Simply put there is not a header or exhaust insulating wrap on the market that will take higher temperatures and last longer. You can actually wrap the header with Inferno Wrap, run it, heat it up, and then unwrap Their Inferno Wrap from the header when needed. Fasten header wrap with Thermal-Tie, hose clamps, or wire.

Used these to wrap my 2" CSP longtube headers for my Camaro ZL1. This is the second vehicle I have used this wrap in and the drop in engine bay temps is amazing!! Love this wrap!!

Yes, it is twice as much as any other hrat wrap. It is worth every penny. I have been wrapping my exhaust systems for years. This wrap is super flexable, so it goes on easily (no water needed!) The best part is that it STAYS just as flexable! I have a turbo manifold that needs service every few years. I simply unwrap it, make my adjustments, and the re-use the wrap. Any other wrap I have used is a one-time application.

As we enter into a 2nd round (2016-2025 I think) of emissions regulations & fuel economy minimums, it appears the car mfg's. are getting real good emissions by raising the operating temps. The problem is, the human body uncomfortable outside & around a vehicle operating at 220°F or better. What's worse is the car mfg's. are skimping on the insulation around the cabin, so after a brief period in rush hour traffic, the heat makes its into the cabin & no A/C can get rid of it. The cabin just stays hot until you're finished driving for the day.I needed to wrap the catalytic converters since they're such the culprits with all this heat & although this wrap is expensive, IT WORKS!!! It stinks like hell so plan you initial drive cycle to make it to the freeway, keep the windows up if you run the air recirculate it, don't draw fresh air in. Also this wrap is a little more itchy that the lava wrap & is a little more loose in it's weave. Soaking it before applying is a must to keep the fibers from floating around. Lastly I only used this stuff for the exhaust manifold to about 6-9" past the 1st set of cat. converters, after that I switched to the lava wrap.Good luck with your project!!!

I used this product to wrap the exhaust of my 2011 Polaris Ranger 800XP. Based on my experience, two of my friends have used this product to help mitigate the exhaust heat on their motorcycles. It seems to help.

I've never used Heat wrap before but from working on cars for the last 20 yrs. I can tell that this is a quality product. It was used to wrap an unequal length header on a Subaru sti along with up pipe and downpipe and there is defiantly less heat in the engine bay with the limited time being used I cannot test to how long it will hold up but from what I see and the research I've done on header wrap this is just what the doctor ordered.

Install easy, doesn't have fiberglass dust common with cheap heat wrap. I have not had a chance to drive the car with this installed yet.

As advertised the Heatshield Exhaust Wrap Inferno Wrap (2" x 50') was easy to install and secure using stainless steel locking ties. Life expectancy of this product yet to be determined. I wrapped a 6" exhaust pipe downstream of the turbocharger on a CAT C-15 mounted in a diesel pusher motorhome. I also wrapped the 5" intake piping with double sided aluminum insulation wrap downstream of the radiator all in an effort to increase combustion efficiency and therefore MPG for this configuration. Efficiency returns yet to be determined.

I have wrapped several headers and uppipes with the DEI and thermo tec products and found that on some applications they work fine, such as my 94 sentra and 04 TSX but when it came to the 05 STi they would just turn brittle and flake off. Then I saw these guys at SEMA and figured I would give the inferno wrap a try. I wrapped the entire header and uppipe and then did several track days on the stuff. I was pretty impressed when I could take the ties off and pull the wrap off and roll it back up, it wasn't brittle at all! I will continue making this the ONLY wrap I use from now on.
