The thing that caught my eye about these when I got them out what the odd cut and crimp on the mounting plate where it is welded to the bearing housing. At first I dislike it, but I soon realized that this would increase the strength of the hinge by removing that extra piece that is often on other hinges. That extra piece often requires two welds per side and could be a weak point of the hinge. From a manufacturing prospective, it makes them easier to assemble as well.Pros: These are the smoothest opening gate hinges I have. They are either power coated or thickly painted; lets just say the paint is generously applied. I'm going to use them for my driveway gate.Cons: None from me.
