Garwei Heavy Duty Manual Stainless Steel Fruit Juicer is an anomaly. The mechanics make the device strong and practical for juicing however because the base and plunger are flat and there are no attachments for juicing or holding juice rather silly purchase. Attachments could straddle the square column.There seems to be variations of press on-line under different names as well at various prices. One of the variations comes with a stainless-steel cup which does not have conical juicer for citrus or juice collector.Believe device might be good for pressing in sealed bearing, in a pinch. Disappointing item which takes up much too much counter space.

I crack a large quantity of nuts each year: black walnuts, hickory, and pecans. Getting through pounds and pounds of nuts is incredibly tedious with a handheld cracker, and while a hammer works it's very hard to control the intensity. I just received about 12 to 14 pounds of in shell pecans from a friend, so I tested it out on those.Pros:- Despite the complete lack of instructions, assembly is easy and it's easy to use.- Stainless steel means that it cleans easily, won't rust, and the parts are solid and shouldn't break with extended use.- I was able to crack 12 to 14 pounds of pecans in under 2 hours (that's really good), despite only being able to crack 1 nut at a time under the pestle (it's possible to crush more than that but if your nuts aren't *exactly* the size size then the larger nuts will be overcrushed by the time the pestle cracks the smaller nuts).Cons:- The bottom piece of the pestle got loose (partially unscrewed) on its own multiple times, forcing me to stop and retighten it. Similarly, the screws holding the suction cups onto the bottom also became loose multiple times.- The suction cups barely worked. They held for maybe a minute at a time and then the nutcracker was sliding around on the counter. This was incredibly annoying. It finally got so bad that my sister had to press down on the back side of the base to hold the nutcracker in case so that I could finish.Next time, I'm going to completely unscrew the suction cups from the base and then use clamps to hold the base to the counter - or possibly use the screw holes for the suction cups to truly screw the base onto a wooden work bench. The suction cup issue is just VERY problematic - so much so that I considered dropping this review down to 3 stars because of it.

The quality is super better than expected, and it's easy to install and use. I bought it to crush nuts because I like fresh chopped nuts, which tastes different from the packaged chopped nuts bought from the supermarket. Of course, it can also be used to squeeze juice sometimes! I recommend it.
