It was a direct replacement for the faulty items I had on my boat. It functions extremely well is working quite well. I am happy with the purchase.

This is a new ignition switch for when I rewire the old jeep. Old school, rust proof, should last a long time.

The swicths provided were unsatisfactory. Keys provided would not work with me ignition switchs.

I took the switch out of the box, inserted the key and it wouldn't turn. Tried the 2nd key, still wouldn't turn. I fiddled with it a few minutes and determined they must have bundled the wrong keys.Since I was in need of the switch, I decided to read the other reviews. It appeared that others had had the same issues with the switch being hard to turn. So I tried again with more force and I got the switch to turn. With a little Teflon spray in the tumblers and some actuating, I managed to get the switch to work more normally.So my experience with the switch was tarnished, but I'll see how long it lasts. Maybe it can redeem itself.

This ignition switch is heavy duty, easy to install and works great. The identification on the back showed where the specific connections needed to be. The last switch I order from a different source lasted less then two years on my boat. I hope this brass unit last. Only time will tell.

It seems to work well and made out of solid material.But the electrical big part in the back was too big and hit up against things in my dash.Also, it was strictly round instead of slotted like the one that came stock.So if your boat is like mine don't get it, but other than that it is a good replacement!
