This is NOT heavy duty. For those of us that have 80+ pound dogs, we know what heavy duty means. This cable is slimmer than a pencil. The outer coating tore within 3 days. The end clasps rusted within 2 weeks, and the cable predictably broke after a month. Do not buy this for your large dog.

I am a new dog owner. I currently have a five month old puppy at home. We live on 3 acres without a fenced yard. On the left side of us, we have a neighbor who has dogs and chickens. Our dog is at Australian Shepherd, who are teaching to stay close to us and not runoff. She gets put on the chain when she misbehaves. It’s very strong and durable. You can take it out and transport it if you go camping.

I like this tie out. I had one for a larger dog but I have forgotten about it while cutting grass even though I removed the cable before and whacked it with my mower blades in the past, this one is compact and low enough to the ground for me to cut over it without impact (not telling anyone to do this but I do) I found the stake and ring to be a good enough stainless steel that after 2 rains now I have no rust on them yet however the the attachment snap clip rusted the first nite just from due I would not tie out a extra large dog with but for the normal size dog 👍👍

Bought this to use on beach I first put it straight in the sand at surface level and dog pulled it straight out. Then dug down to hit some wet sand and screwed it in after that I couldn’t even pull it out. Dog tried a few times and it didn’t budge.Good product, only downside is it all comes loose in a cheap cardboard box. Not a big deal.

This dog tie-out stake works great! I used to have the kind that has a trianglular-shaped tie-out with an opening at the bottom. The tie-out leashes were ALWAYS getting tangled in that opening at the bottom of the triangle. I was constantly untangling the leashes. I have had this product one day and it is such a relief to not have to untangle leashes every time the boys go out. This particular stake has an economical price (I think it trumps all the other similar products) and it's heavy duty. The stake came with an extra large hook (which I need for two dogs), a tool for turning the stake into the ground (it worked super well for completing the job) and a brush (I'm not sure what the brush is for ... maybe I'll brush my tangled mop-on-top). I am super pleased with this purchase. I kick myself for not finding this solution sooner. Excellent product – I highly recommend this dog tie-out stake. The boys give it a a 10-paw rating because now they don't get tangled, which used to shorten their run-around reach.
