These mounts worked great for hanging my speakers from the ceiling in my workout room.I would buy another set if I needed to. So not too bad but here's a couple of improvements.The mounts are a nice powder coated black but the hardware is the common type you would find in a hardware store, regular silver or nickel. I wish the mounts came with black nuts and bolts. Not a bigdeal I suppose, a few minutes with a black magic marker would clean those up.The shaft that adjusts the angle of the speaker had two large nuts that tighten down on each other. During the adjusting the shaft that the nuts are attached to broke free from the down shaft. I think that the speaker will not fall from the ceiling but the speaker is now loose to swivel side to side if pushed. I was more careful on the second mount and it seems to be secure.I did add a small chain to the speaker incase something did come apart.J.

Unstable with a poor main connection. I bought these thinking I could actually use them to mount my Accoustech bi-throw surrounds instead of putting them on a speaker stand. They are heavy but the bracket doesn't fit to mount them on the speaker so I had to flip the plate up. The main nuts are impossible to tighten enough due to the play at the telescope point. This leaves the rig sloppy and untrustworthy to place my $200 speaker on.

I had to use steel putty in order to stop the mount from sagging due to the weight of the speaker. The bolt to shaft needs to be better design to avoid the twist sagging. The steel putty made a big difference for our use case. The other one we didn’t use putty because it was straight.

So using these for satellite speakers for my small surround sound system. The ONLY thing I don't like is even when the bolt is tightened to hold the speaker, it's still not completely secure.. it is loose.. I don't want to over tighten it as well..Over all.. it's ok.. not sure if I would use for a heavier speaker though.. not sure if it can hold it properly ..

Exactly what I needed to mount a large, heavy center speaker for my media room. Used both brackets to hold up the very wide speaker on each side. I used my own hardware to mount these brackets in place of what was provided. It handled my need better. Very pleased with the angle and reach options. Very pleased with the result.
