The tool worked ok for a short time but failed after a few months. The extension handle release buttons are made of cheap plastic and break easily. The jaw spring broke after minimal use. The warranty is worthless because the company ignores you. No response to emails or phone calls. I wonder if this company is still in business.

I'm a Horticulturist, and this is my FAVORITE tree, branch, etc. trimming tool that I have ever used! So easy to use, and it can take down small TREES with minimal effort. This is my second pair in 10 years! I just wore out the first ones I had!!! I've even changed blades and the spring a few times. The old ones still worked, but I wanted to treat my self to a brand new pair!!! LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

Very nice USA made product. This is how you save this country people, not by arguing with each other about which side is right. Keep the citizens of this country employed and produce quality products. Pay a little more, save the country a lot.

If you never used a ratchet lopper before, please read the directions printed on the handle. The instruction are easy, but if you simply place the tree limb between the blades and squeeze, you will think the lopper is broken. The ratcheting system makes cutting large branches much easier than a standard lopper, once you know how to properly use it. Like every lopper I have used, the one drawback compared with a saw is that you must widely separate the handles to place large branches between the blades.This lopper is high quality, and made in the USA!

We love love love this IW-1425 Lopper. It works great. And the company was fabulous. We ordered this with express delivery for our weekend project. It came damaged. Our Loppers arrived ahead of schedule in great condition. I tried them out immediately! I cut a medium size branch first to get a feel for the operation. Them I cut a limb that was of the maximum stated size to be cut. I extended the handles to the full length and cut the limb perfectly!! I am very happy with their performance and was surprised that they are even better than the Florian Loppers they replaced!
