Overall very heavy duty and good quality, the exception is the top portion that holds the round ball rollers which is made of plastic. If you stand falls over hitting concrete this will break and render that portion useless. This happened to me the first week I used the stand. Fortunately it works fine without it. I would gladly pay more for this piece to be made of metal.

Bought two of these, the base on one is welded so crooked it is unusable. The other is missing the ball bearing roller head. The ball bearing head is made out of plastic, after one day of use the ball bearings jammed and would not roll causing the stand to fall over. I contacted the seller, its been over one week and still no response.

having to use two knobs to tighten and loosen is getting to be really annoying. i'm also worried that the scraped formed by not loosening both enough when adjusting will eat in to the adjusting shaft a lot faster.

This would have gotten 5 stars if it weren't for the ball section of the stand. It's garbage, as the other reviewer noted. Which is disappointing since the rest of the stand including the long roller is excellent. It is heavy duty, folds up for storage or transport, and is very stable.

If you're sick of cheap roller stands that break or tip over, you might fall in love with this 22.5 lb. beast. Heavy and heavy-duty.Lots to like, but at 70 to 100 buckss, I find it also kind of disappointing. As with most stands, the height adjustment is 2-handed, a little tedious, and pinch hazardy. If you're going to set up or adjust many times a month, consider a hand crank model like or .The ball stand half of this 2-in-1 model is lame. Too much friction. I actually use the main roller sideways with better results than the ball stand provides (like when cross-cutting -- work slides from one end of roller to the other).PRO's: - Heavy and solid - Nice 13.5" x 2.36" diameter roller. Smooth surface, very nice bearings. - Adjustable feet for uneven terrain (4 eccentric end caps rotate from +0 to +.34") - Height range: (29"- 47") - Stable: Footprint is 18.2"w x 27" spread - On-Ramp: The turned-aside roller ball housing provides a useful "on ramp" to the main rollerCONs: - Expensive - Ball stand is feeble. Too much friction. - Height adjustment is kind of a hassle (as with most other stands)You can see more reviews & viewpoints at rockler's site.Price drops 20-40% at times.
