This windshield is good quality but terrible for novice install. The instructions are pretty bad. The picture is more informative that the steps. First you have to take apart the vents so you can get the protective film off. When you do this you NEED to debur every edge as the are sharp as a razor blade. Very dangerous. I know some people complain about the rivets and they are correct that they are not mentioned in description which is why I state this is not for novice's. I also do not like that they don't provide a washer for the rivets. Whenever you rivet into Plexiglas the backside of the rivet needs a washer to lock onto or it will lead to cracks or pop-outs. After all the adjustments it came out great and I am very happy with it.

Good windshield, thicker than most. The rubber edge is difficult, here's the the trick- spray WD40 in the rubber groove and it goes on, no problem

If it was not for the pictures in amazon the installation would have been almost impossible. Also the weatherstripping must have been for the .177 thick windshield

For this product I used the following rivets (item info/description below) in place of the included rivets (QTY 16). I did have to drill the holes a step larger to accommodate the new rivet size. I used blue lock-tite prior to screwing together and it ended up being a cleaner install cosmetically. The included weather strip is incorrect for the product. Prior to weather strip install, I used a plastic body panel tool and a hammer to spread the channel on the stripping and muscled it on... works fine. NOTE the 2 Lexan pieces are pre-drilled so each side of the hinge attaches to either the top half or the bottom half of the shield. If it doesn't line up... flip the hinge and check again...you shouldn't have an issue. Directions are worthless and you may find yourself looking at the amazon pictures for reference during install.I used the 1/4" leather rivets for this install and there is no play in the rivet points and with lock-tite the screws aren't going anywhere. Hope this helps and good luck.Rivet info description on Amazon $9.99Alloypro 80 Sets Chicago Screws Assorted Kit 4 Sizes Gun Metal Leather Rivets 1/4 5/16 3/8 1/2 Screw Rivets Slotted Phillip Head Book Binding Posts Nail Rivet Chicago Bolt for DIY Leather Craft M5

Rubber gasket does not fit on edge of windshield. No instructions on this at all!! Instructions are not adequate. Does not explain where all the parts go. Rivets are included without a tool. The parts list does not even list the rivets. Not enough diagrams or explanations.

Window was easy to install. Did not like that it wanted you to rivet window hinge. I used bolts instead. Also one of the rubber straps tore during first use. Would buy again.

Installation instructions are incomplete. Rubber gasket will not fit. Had to buy pipe insulation. Comes with rivets to connect the two windshields with no way to install them. Used my small nuts and bolts.

The windshield is sturdy built but somewhat difficult to put together. The instructions are not very plain. Luckly, I had an old windshield to use as a pattern for assembly. Pop rivets were included to put the windshield hinge and other parts together, but no tool was included to install the rivets. I purchased button head machine screws at my local hardware store to bolt the parts together rather than buy a pop rivet installation tool. I feel that machine screws should have been included rather than rivets. The other issue is that the gaskets included appear to fit a thinner windshield and could not be used on the 1/4-inch-thick windshield, but I was able to use the gaskets from the old one I was replacing.
