This wind shirt gets the job done. Stops the wind, hasn’t soaked through in light rain/fog, and I stay warm. Pocket angle is perfect, you can zip them closed - but wven if you don’t, things are staying in those deep pockets. Quality is amazing. This is my 5th product from Helikon and I couldn’t be happier.

I’m 6’4” 185lbs, thin built. Normally wear size xl shirts for height purposes but ordered a size L for this one. Fits pretty well, length for sleeves and height are perfect. Jacket is ever so baggy but that was to be expected. Heard from others that it runs large and that was true in my case. Plan on wearing it as an outer layer so no problems here

well made, thin, incredibly lightweight, breathable, but only mildly water repellent. Perfect for early morning or breezy cool days when going out hiking or running. Weighs very little, however does not pack down into it's own pocket and doesn't come with a bag. Mine runs fairly large so would layer well as a wind resistant layer.

I have two of these, one in Coyote and one in Flecktarn. This garment is one of my favorite's and I will sing the praises to all that will hear. This is a Fall/Winter only layer (in Southern US) that should be worn exterior of your base layers. The cool thing is, it does not need to be the outermost layer to still be effective (Look up ECWCS infographics). I'll often wear woobie hoodies or just field jackets over it and it still works as intended. Super lightweight and the feature's are great. Personally I wish it was a full zip garment for donning and doffing, but you would lose the anorak pocket for that. Most time's I leave the anorak pockets zipped anyways for wind stoppage, but there are small pockets sized for a phone or keys/misc near the zipper opening's on either side which are good. The hood system is good, though I find myself not needing it most of the time because I have on a hat/beanie, but when I do have it up the adjustments are really nifty.Seriously Love this garment and will continue to sing it's praises.PS: Helikon please make this in Multicam.

I ordered MEDIUM.Read reviews regarding sizing.Normally I wear LARGE T-shirt, jacket, hoody.Reviews said it runs big.That's an UNDERSTATEMENT.Arm length feels about 3 inch long.Torso is 10 percent too big.Tail extends 8 inch below pants pockets.If your goal is to pile this OVER all your layers it might work for ya.If your goal is to use this for a BASE over a T-shirt, then wear jacket or vest, no go.I will keep for a running jacket.Ppl will think I lost 80lbs.

I ended up returning but will probably order the correct size when the weather warms. Great hood adjustment, and I don’t even like hoods. Just generally well thought out garment. Zipper is a little crunchy but I don’t think heavier would suit this fabric. I suggest snaps, possibly in a true double breasted arrangement with a few inches of overlap.

Double check your measurements!I do understand that, as a wind jacket, it’s going to be a bit baggier to go over clothing.Normally, I wear a Med/Large, so I ordered this in medium. It was like a parachute. Returned and got the proper size.Sizing issues aside, I love this thing. Few loose threads here and there but taken care of easily.Stitching is strong and reinforced in areas.For obvious reasons, it’s amazing in the wind and keeps me warm without making me sweat thanks to the vents and it looks damn good imo, especially in VTC. It’s a very thin layer by the way.

Die Jacke kommt wie auf den Bildern dargestellt. Sie ist recht dünn, aber Wind undurchlässig. Ich nutze sie beim MTB fahren und finde sie super. Sie hat ein kleines Packmaß und passt so in jeden Rucksack. Ich denke der Preis ist für das Gewicht und das kompakte Maß schon gerechtfertigt.Ich würde sie wieder kaufen. Auch wenn man einen Pullover drunter trägt, würde ich sie passend und nicht eine Nummer zu groß nehmen.

Ordered what I thought was a US Medium.The description and sizing chart photo show only US sizes.I received a EU medium/US Small, which is annoying since it already took while to receive the item and it’s not what I ordered.The jacket quality is good. It’s thin and light. I ordered the Flecktarn and the camo on the jacket is darker then NOS surplus Flecktarn pants.Since I got the wrong size, the no mentioning of EU size and I can’t use the jacket as a result, 1 star.Reached out to the seller about the sizing issue so I’ll update the review when I get the correct size and actually use the jacket.Update.Got a replacement jacket through a different vender. Return was easy and painless.The jacket is nice and late weight. Good for early morning hikes or when the wind picks up. I did a 10 mile hike in the mountains around the pacific coast and I didn’t over heat, and the jacket kept the wind off me. It’s a nice light packable jacket.Jacket does it’s job in heavy fog and is ok in “light rain”. It’s not really designed to be a rain jacket.Just make sure you order the right size. I ordered a EU Large and got a US Medium on my second try. It has plenty of room for layers underneath.Hope this is helpful!
