Your cart is empty.Sway bars, or more accurately anti-roll bars, are designed to resist a vehicle’s tendency to pitch from side to side during cornering, improving cornering ability and making for a more comfortable controlled ride. Sway bars are among the most cost effective and dramatic improvements that you can make to your vehicle regardless of whether it’s a truck, muscle car, tow rig, or RV. Sway bars are also typically easy to install, making them a great first upgrade for anyone who wants a little more control out of their ride.

Not even close to the right size for a 2000 Silverado. Amazon and Hellwig both say this bar should fit, save your money.

It was installed by my mechanic. I should have done it myself. It is a much heavier bar than stock and the fit is perfect. I don’t feel an incredible difference though. I think if I take the twisty stuff at a high speed I will.

Fit perfect on a 2002 Suburban 1500. Instant results. Improved handling from the get go. I only replaced the front bar (budget reasons). Prior to replacing the sway bar, I also installed higher rate torsion bars from a n Avalanche.

2005 Silverado ECSB 4x4 Z71 (stock suspension, not lifted,Bilstein shocks) - During my research I read a few comments about how the front bar is not as effective as the rear and some just go with the rear setup. I called Hellwig and they claimed the front bar will be a 30% improvement over the OE and ordered one. They don't know what they are missing. My rear setup came a week before the front bar and it was a significant improvement. I could tell as soon as I made the left out of my driveway as it put a smile on my face. The OE bar is hollow @1-1/8" OD and weighs 1/3 of the Hellwig 1-3/8"OD solid bar. How could it not make much of a difference. The grommets are twice the size of the OE. Adding the front after the rear bar install gained at least 25% less roll to an already improved ride.Where you will most enjoy the improvements are in moderate city driving where you do most of of your turing. Taking that right on red or or navigating city streets, changing lanes with briskness. As for the highway, you will find yourself taking those long cloverleaf sweepers a new experience.Lastly, There is an uphill turn from a stop sign I take everyday. It used to require a slow navigation to keep from churning the inside expensive Michelin rear. The OE body roll was enough to take weight off the wheel. Not any more.I did the install in 40 minutes.

I put this on my 2004 Tahoe. Wow what a difference should have done this a long time ago. I highly recommend this sway bar. it is much heavier than the original bar and really makes a big difference in body roll. Makes the truck handle much better

I bought this bar, and the rear to install on my '05 Avalanche, between these two bars and the lowering kit the fat lady (my Avalanche) moves around the corners like never before. Highly recommend! AAAAA++++++++
